Redout
10/11 news reported that both Callahan and Gill made an in home visit to Terrence Nunn a couple days ago. Nunn had committed to NU a while back but then decommitted to ironically Wisconsin. Now it appears Nunn is a priority. Nunn's mother said Callahan was very prepared and how to sell the program very well. redout Quote Link to comment
Oklahoma Husker
Good, I think that is one of Coach Cal's early bright spots. So far every recruit has said that he was well prepared and could really sell the program. They also like his honesty and the fact that he's up front when he visits. Quote Link to comment
Redout
Yes certainly we need receivers. On a side note Grixby the big recruit from Omaha will make his decision on Monday(so he says). The new DB coach will talk with him over the weekend. I don't even know his god damn name. This part sucks about these coaching changes. redout Quote Link to comment
RedCountry
Good to hear. Nunn sounds like he has reservations about Wis too and that he's pretty intrigued by Call even though he said he was a "solich guy". I think we have a strong shot if CAll plays this right. Plus you know whats pretty cool and ironic about this Wisconsin thing that could work in our favor is that Nunn obvsiously likes Alvarez, and guess who endorsed Coach Call and helped get him the NU job?! So now Nunn knows Call must be a good guy. Quote Link to comment
Oklahoma Husker
The new db coach is Phil Elmassian. He previously coached at Purdue. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt
Took this quote from JohnnyRedShoes posted in another thread: Terrence Nunn, 6-0, 185-pound WR from Houston is struggling with his decision. Coach Call visited him last week at his home. Mrs Nunn said that Coach Callahan was 'impressive and very prepared'. Terrence’s head coach also met Cally and was also very impressed. 'Callahan really sold the program and said some really encouraging things to Terrence, things that would make any kid want to go to school up there.' His mother said. Apparently Coach Call is supposed to call Terrence's father later today to discuss some things. The Wisconsin coaches will also be callling and/or visiting again later this week. His Mom also said 'there are a few things my husband wanted to make sure of too, and the decision will be made in the next few days.' Latest update: Nunn was interviewed tonight and unfort said that he is leaning towards Wisconsin, b/c he just "feels more comfortable" with those guys. And feels he "fits in better." However he and his mother both expressed their respects for NU and said they were very impressed with Gill and Callahan. Said he would make his "official" later this wk. Quote Link to comment
BigRedMachine
Check this OUT!! Gill visited Nunn at his home in Houston tonight, and it appears the powers of Gill are even mightier than once thought! Nunn's Mom said he hasnt officially chosen b/t NU and Wis, but that she "really" likes Coach Gill, and that "I truly believe that Nebraska is where his heart is at. “ .... very very nice. Along with the fact that he has changed his interest level with the recruiting services to 'High' for Nebraska and Low for Wisc. Yessir!!! Bring him home boys. Quote Link to comment
Redout
I read something very similiar about this. Apparently Nunn's mamma loves Gill. And she feels Fairly certain that he decommit and commit to NU again. redout Quote Link to comment
