Hey, just wanted to make a thread to see if anybody has the new (2011) Mortal Kombat game for Xbox or PS3.

If you don't and you like fighting games, go pick it up. It'll run you ~$25 at a video game store or online. Definitely worth the money.

My brother and I picked it up when we had some time to kill on a vacation recently-- we spent a lot of time at our aunt's house-- and I liked it so much I picked up a copy of it myself when I got back to my house.

Blows Street Fighter 4, which is a good game in it's own right, out of the water as fighting games go. There's just something so spectacular about being able to freeze somebody and then lay the beat down on them or yank them across the map only to uppercut them as Sub-Zero/ Scorpion like I did as a kid.

That's terrific, I think. The way they have been able to keep the classic fighters with all their classic moves is what really makes MK special. Just speaks to how advanced the game was when it first came out... it already had some sick moves. Just some minor tweaks along the way have made it a really solid fighting game.

Oh yeah, and fatalities are just AWESOME. There's also a surprise when it comes to those. Here's a hint... they first occured in MKII. Pretty awesome.

Anybody play this? I'd seriously recommend picking it up if you've got some time to kill and enjoying fighting games. IMO best games to play with a friend. So easy to pick up. Takes practice to get good, though.
