If I pay for the cell phone service or the internet service or any other service, then I reserve the right to decide how it is being used. If my child doesn't like it, then they can pay for it themselves. I am not saying that i would be a "helicopter parent". i just feel like I reserve the right to be if I am paying for the services. With that said, I wouldn't do it just to do it or do it constantly. But I feel that you should check in once in a while. It's like giving your kids the keys to your car. If you catch them or find out they are doing something irresposible with it, you can take it away. Quote Link to comment
