Helicopter parenting - need some help!

Recommended Posts

I don't have kids old enough for this but I will say this. If I pay for the cell phone service or the internet service or any other service, then I reserve the right to decide how it is being used. If my child doesn't like it, then they can pay for it themselves. I am not saying that i would be a "helicopter parent". i just feel like I reserve the right to be if I am paying for the services. With that said, I wouldn't do it just to do it or do it constantly. But I feel that you should check in once in a while.

It's like giving your kids the keys to your car. If you catch them or find out they are doing something irresposible with it, you can take it away.
