skersfan
Not true Nuance, I wanted Ron all along, but my reasons are different than most. I am glad he is getting a chance to be what he has dreamed of being for many many years. The starter at Nebraska. Great to see it happen if it does. My guess is that if Taylor can walk, he might get the last start though. Either way I want a senior to start on senior day. One play or the whole game makes no difference to me. I think Ron brings more to the game than Tommy, due to his better passing. Knowing the system better and better able to handle the pressure. No knock on Tommy by any means and I am so happy he got meaningful snaps this year, can do nothing but help next year. Quote Link to comment
Shockley03
Tommy Armstrong is the return of the Mack! I keep thinking about that 6-play, 75 yard drive and 5 yard TD shovel pass to Ameer Abdullah that sealed Michigan's fate in The Big House a few weeks ago (Huskers' 17-13 win). It was so coach Tom Osborne-Nebraska-esque! I'd of loved to have heard NCAA basketball commentator Bill Raftery make one of his cool one-liner cliche statements right after Armstrong lateraled the left handed shovel pass to beat Michigan right off the television! That would have been just so perfect! Quote Link to comment
