Always a husker
OK...over the last few years I have heard over and over again that Bo's defensive scheme works well when we have a dominating D line. If recruiting holds up, we will end up with a DL of: Clinkscales - #1 JUCO DT Keels - #5 JUCO DE Gregory - Last year's #1 JUCO DE and he lived up to that this year. Valentine - We saw flashes of really good things this year Curry - Has good potential Collins - Has good potential Maurice - Has good potential. Williams - has good potential. On top of that, we have young athletic LBs behind this line. So....my question becomes, are we starting to get the talent that will bring us back to the 2009-2010 level? I'd pencil Avery Moss in there someplace. As well as McMullen. Any word on how Natter's redshirt year went? Quote Link to comment
TheSker
Hopefully we can go back to the days of being able to dictate the line of scrimmage and get constant pressure on the QB with only four players. THAT is what I miss most about the 09-10 defense. I don't know if we will ever have that elite of talent, but this looks like a step in the right direction. Suh was really the elite player and Crick was NFL talent. Our DEs were slightly less talented, though Allen and Turner were highly recruited. Across the board and considering the potential and depth, Pelini and staff seem to be doing an excellent job bringing in DL talent......and really the front 7. Quote Link to comment
