Bama over signs every recruiting period. Thus, they never miss on a guy. If Bo, signs 25 guys and misses on 25%, that can be devastating. However, if Bama signs 45 and misses on 25% nobody cares because they still has 25 top recruits. That is what is wrong with recruiting these days. SEC allows over signing and other power conferences do not. Alabama isn't signing 45. Here is where Alabama's numbers favor them. You have 85 scholarship positions on your team.
