Mavric
A couple of practices into spring ball and Nebraska's Vincent Valentine wasn't seeing the results he'd hoped for, even though he'd spent the previous few weeks reshaping his body and studying the playbook. But it didn't take long for the sophomore defensive tackle to realize what aspect of his game needed refining next. “I figured out it was my technique — that I had to work on a couple things,” Valentine said. “Footwork. My hands. Just to get better and take my game to the next level.” It's something that Valentine didn't quite understand at this time last year. Veterans and coaches were always talking about the little things — but Valentine had just joined the top unit after a fall with the scout team, unaware of how good he could be or what steps were required to reach his potential. He thinks he's starting to get it now. OWH Quote Link to comment
