TGHusker Posted January 26, 2015 Share Posted January 26, 2015 Last week I had the pleasure to enjoy the Trifecta of Pain all at the same time: Kidney Stone, Acute Constipation (caused by the stone slowing everything down for 5 whole days!! ), and pneumonia. I will have to say, If you ever have a chose between Kidney Stone and a trip to Hawaii - take the trip every time . Being in the hospital for 4 days - 1st visit since 1980 - was an eye opener. Kidney stones would be classified as cruel and unusual under our constitution punishment provisions and would be debated like water boarding if used against an enemy. To all of you who are in medical care - nurses, docs, specialists, therapists, etc - Thank-you for your service to mankind and using your gifts for our healing. Much appreciated. I had a nurse who said that she's given birth to several kids and she also had kidney stones - she said the stones were worse. Now If my wife ever uses that tag line "but you've never gone through labor contractions' - I have a come back! So, all of this made me wonder: what other non-lethal illnesses/procedures have my friends on the HB gone through that were painful and eye opening to them. Please elaborate. Link to comment

obert1 Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 I've had kidney stones 7 times. 2 wire removals, 2 laser and passed the others. Only way I could not hurt was curling up in a ball lying on the ground. They are pure hell.. Link to comment
