Saunders
Gerry was on the AP Top 25 CFB podcast with Ralph Russo, and had some interesting comments regarding the West division (and NU specifically). The summary is that he thinks that no school in the country has been hurt by the early recruiting (unofficial visits and such) more than Nebraska. He said the new changes to the recruiting calendar are a game-changer for Nebraska. Because we have the most resources in our division, by far, NU should dominate the West because of the ability to get talent. If not, it's because of coaching, not resources. He and Ralph also discussed Mike Riley, and that he was hired because he was the exact opposite of Bo. They have alot of respect for Mike, and Gerry thinks that the key to Riley's tenure is the ability to recruit, and develop a tough team The Nebraska portion starts around the 16:00 mark. https://audioboom.com/posts/6101315-podcast-gerry-dinardo-on-harbaugh-dantonio-and-coaching-at-lsu 1 Quote Link to comment
Redux
Mirrors the general consensus around here. Hopefully Riley can make most of the changes and get us back to routinely recruiting with the who's who. Quote Link to comment
