I've got an even simpler stat for you.  It can be proven with ordinary math that the average human has 1 ovary and 1 testicle. 

Stats only matter when you fully understand what went into them.

 

Let me ask you this, at the end of the year, if Bama has one loss and Kentucky is undefeated with a better Z score who would the committee take?

Honestly I think the Z score and your work is a great thing.  What I am getting at is that impartiality is currently lacking.
