Assessing the talent: Shumate finished his junior season with 94 tackles, eight sacks and two fumbles caused. He benches 300 pounds, squats 400 and has a 34-inch vertical jump.

Shumate reports a 3.8 core GPA, a 28 ACT and a 1700 SAT. On his video he blitz every single time so must not be a good cover guy.
