Scratchtown
Also in Kearney. I see this thread is near a year old. Grand Island is a dumper, a HUGE dumper compared to Kearney. Love Kearney. Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
Went to UNK! Parties with some local GI students but never was old enough when I was there to hit the bar scene! Gotta be down there Saturday for a fuggin wedding! Weddings at 5! Methodist(anybody know how long a Methodist wedding lasts?) and a 2:30 start. Looking for a good place to watch the start and finish of the game. Quote Link to comment

You could also try sluggers, or whiteys. Quote Link to comment
BO B1GRD
The best burgers in central Nebraska come from Sin-City in downtown Grand Island. Also, a great place to relax at night is The Chocolate Bar...it's the kind of place you usually see in Omaha's Midtown or by the new Ak-Sar-Ben developments Quote Link to comment

Minnesota_husker
My fiance grew up there... Cant say i enjoy visiting. Quote Link to comment
hskerprid
It's changed since I grew up there. The packing plant has brought in alot of undesirables into the area. The east side is trashy but out west is where all the new development is. If you're a young person looking for a career, run away as fast as you can. Quote Link to comment
