  1. "Joseph Vincent Paterno: Educator, Coach, Humanitarian." "They ask me what I'd like written about me when I'm gone. I hope they write I made Penn State a better place, not just that I was a good football coach." Paterno's quotes on the wall behind that statue. Hypocrite.
  2. Obviously I am not in the situation, but I think I would be embarrassed to wear a Penn St. jersey this weekend. I feel for all the guys playing the game that have no idea stuff like this was happening in their locker room behind their back by their coach and AD.
  3. You could break down to coaches as young too. 1st year OC. 1st year secondary coach. 1st year RB coach, experience at other positions. 1st year LB coach at BCS program. 1st year WR coach at BCS program.
  4. I thought the microphone was odd. I just heard like one lady yelling the whole game instead of normal crowd noise.
  5. Sorry about my crazy start to the comment too. My brain is on a few different things. It pretty much comes down to consistency. I still think this is the best overall Husker team since '01, but they just can't seem to put it together week in and week out. Depending on how this team responds and finishes the season I may change my stance though.
  6. haha I know that feeling, I managed to flip to ABC for the last play of the game... I did the exact same thing, I caught the last two though.
  7. Now that would throw a wrench in things.
  8. Well there you go. The classic 9-6 game.
  9. Honestly who ends up taking a 52 yard field goal in OT. What a failure.
  10. 52 yarder.... MISSED IT.
  11. This and a crazy penalty.
  12. Ohio St. has a pretty nice stadium. They have held the conference tournament there the past 3 seasons. I would like to see it moved to a neutral site though. TD in Omaha would get the biggest crowds, but Victory Field in Indy would be the most central location.
  13. They could absolutely did, but there were other games where they completely bailed out Martinez on poor throws. Hell, the only dropped passes we talked about last week were the ones that the defense didn't intercept. Mistakes still get made I as well as you want them corrected, but I don't think sweeping generalizations about the unit after a poor performance is 100% fair.
  14. There is one damn fine punt.
  15. I didn't realize that! They need to start one and put it at the CenturyLink. That place will be packed to the gills.
  16. The same Tech team that got destroyed by Iowa St. the next week and now UT ran for over 400 yards against. The best team in that conference gives up something like 30 points a game. I'll stick with the B1G.
  17. 6-6 this is turning into a barn burner! For real though these defenses are on a completely different level.
  18. It is starting to look a little apparent that he under recruited the secondary the past few years. Which is strange to me considering he was recruiting for the Big 12 most of those years. This is really the only group that I am disappointed with the talent at the position. The D-Line trouble is injuries not recruiting. The O-Line save today has gotten rave reviews, they are also on the young end. The Huskers haven't moved teams like they have this season in a long time(they played like crap today though) The WR/RB Pelini recruits are arguably the best young talent in the conference. QB's Pelini just got a commit from the #12 dual threat in the country and is in fantastic standing for the #6 one. All in all it has been a pretty good go of it.
  19. David is a prototypical LSU LB in terms of size I think. He would be pretty undersized compared to those monsters that Alabama starts though.
  20. 3-3 at half and I have been enjoying every minute of it.
  21. This. It sucks to say, but other than David and Dennard none of the other "blackshirts" would even sniff the two deep on 'Bama or LSU.
