  1. The ten most popular sponsor brands in sports in 2022 - as of Q2 2022 - Sportcal Adidas is thankful Soccer exists, but if you have watched the MLS, we field a horrible product in this country.
  2. We were in the Top 10/Top 25 with Pelini... We were never in this bad of situation until Eichhorst torched the program with the hire of Mike Riley.
  3. Flo Jo would be 64 years old this year. We should try and see if we can restart the triple option run only system to celebrate the last time Adidas was popular.
  4. When you are ok with the horribleness and the collapse of a dynasty program. Stop stealing other people's work from the internet. Rhule is making 5.5 million this year. Mel Tucker would have been a better hire for recruiting.
  5. He will be at Colorado until his son is done playing. He will then get hired by a top program if he continues to coach. If he came to Nebraska, he might just have stayed knowing that he would have more resources than Colorado will ever offer. Either way, we would be in the Top 25 again and looking at a bowl game this year instead of being at the bottom of the terrible Big Ten West.
  6. I am a Husker fan and I am only here to say enough is enough. We had a rare opportunity to get a package that included a popular Coach, a great staff, and Heisman level QB and WR/DB combo. WE DIDN'T EVEN TRY FOR THIS. Not to mention we have already missed on a Generational legacy QB in Raiola. When we miss out on top level tackles in Baker and Brix, you might finally get what has happened. We are at the bottom of CFB with some of the nicest facilities and a great place to live (Lincoln, according to USNEWS rankings). I do not think Matt Rhule was a bad hire, but he brought a terrible OC and QB with him. It was not the hire we needed to turn the program around before we all have grey hairs or no hair at all from pulling it out.
  7. Matt Rhule will make less than half of what Kirby makes this year. Head Coach, staff, and QB matter the most in College football. We need head coaches to leave their schools to become coordinators while bringing an elite QB with them. We got Satterfield and Sims…. Not to mention a 23 year old to be the WR coach. We have no elite Offensive players because our staff hasn’t been elite to complement the Head coach. We keep repeating the same old stuff over and over. This staff has a chance after a full 4 year cycle, but this program needed an immediate turn around after no Bowls forever in Husker years. Can we just recruit a QB that can pass at some point? Sick of the run first, no chance at Elite QB recruit systems
  8. The people of Nebraska need to stand up and say enough is enough. Spend the money or lose the fan base. As far as the Adidas thing goes, why are we not wearing what Americans wear? Nike and Jordan Brand are on all the top programs and are American brands that kids these days wear outside of the middle of the country. Push these thoughts around and they might come true and change the reality of the program.
  9. I was in this forum a year ago saying exactly what would happen with Deion, and it came true in Colorado. But you know, let’s keep doing what we are doing so we get more Jeff Sims
  10. You guys are all proving my point. Locked in the bubble of Nebraska. Instead of coming up with open minded responses you disregard what you don’t want to hear.
  11. We never hire elite assistants. We never think about Adidas costing us elite talent. We never hire a Black head coach. We never have an elite throwing QB, always with a “dual threat” leftovers. We never maximize our spending and resources to get the Dylan Raiola type QB. Nebraska really has turned into the flyover state for big time recruits. Deion was the perfect hire for a quick turn around and we didn’t even try. Nebraska will never be good again because of Nebraskans. We are probably getting Trumped as far as NIL goes, saying we have the money when we don’t.
  12. Mickey Joseph should be our next coach. He is a recruiter and a developer. It will open up a chance at a much more diverse roster, especially on the O Line, and maybe keep some Omaha kids from leaving the State. Only name that should take priority over Mickey is Bill O'Brien. Mickey is also one of us and also has coaching experience in the SEC.
  13. Seems like you are out of touch with reality. Nebraska needs someone COMPLETELY different to attract out of state players, AKA the Talent. Nebraska needs someone that doesn't look like Billy Bob from your local farm.
  14. Competition level > Overall Record We are competing against everyone now. No one blows us out. Forget the win/loss total. This was always going to be a full culture change taking at minimum 4-5 years to solve the major issues (Strength and Culture). We are behind schedule due to a thrown together 2018 class that all but left. We are also behind due to paying zero attention to Special Teams, which has now been addressed. We have turned the corner with a well known coaching staff and addressed all issues from past years. Our team will finally have an offensive line with experience and the talent to protect the QB, allowing for more downfield passing and less running QB injuries. Still predicting 10-2 with healthy starters
  15. A&M Has enough money to sway even Nike loyalists haha
  16. Apparel is better for Nike, but cleats and stuff maybe not. Most of what they receive is clothing. I was mainly trying to say, “How are they going to match their clothes to their Jordan’s?”
  17. I moved out West, and can tell you it’s a different culture when you get outside the middle of the country. These kids wouldn’t look once at an Adidas school, when all the gear they would receive from the School, doesn’t match their shoes.
  18. I’m just going to let you look at the charts and think about why you had Oregon as the only Nike school in your example… Oregon should somehow be ranked above all the rest of Nike schools? Why’s this?
  19. When will Nebraska realize that they will look better in Nike? They miss out on the best players who want to go to a Nike or Jordan Brand school. Shouldn’t the “Heartland” be repped by an American brand anyways? *Avid Nike Wearer*
  20. 10-2 losses to Purdue and Michigan. People finally realize that Scott Frost is the perfect coach for Nebraska and just needed a few less mistakes from his players in the clutch. The Offensive line was extremely young and will improve across the board regardless of line coach. Special Teams was one of the worst in college football and only needed to be top 100 to make a bowl game. Better experience in the staff will lead to better overall decision making in the program. *Avid Koolaid Drinker* P.S. Big 10 Refs will never favor us unless we overtake OSU
