the offense is fine and will be better next year. I am really concerned about the defense. god, we would stop them on 1st and 2nd but on 3rd they throw up a prayer and get it about 80% of the time. how can you not expect that to happen?

Look i know this could be a humiliating loss. But be honest, how many of you given the schedule thought that we would have the record we have now given the schedule we faced? I was one expecting an 8-4 season. Don't let this game dictate how you look at the whole picture because it has actually been a pretty successful season in my eyes. The teams return to the BCS race will be slowed but, will not be stopped from returning to excellence.

Two things i think can happen in this game. Either, our D does a good job of containing the run and Moye, OR Their Offense picks us apart due to injuries. Our offense should not have a problem moving the ball slowly but surely. with that said. nebraska - 21 penn state- 17

i think the special teams play a little soft on the punt returns. if you haven't noticed we never go after a punt to block it, so the other team doesn't have to max protect and can swarm the returner. so just as long as we have someone back there that can make the right decisions and execute, you probably wont see anyone else.

as long as the guys out there are consistently doing the right things, and not making mistakes (penalties) i'm all for playing a slightly less athletic player for a more talented one that is mistake prone.

lol!! OSU's defense is in a different galaxy than NW's. If even that close..... tOSU's defense is good, but not great. tOSU's defense is better than NW by a good margin. The problem for Nebraska is Northwestern's offense is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than tOSU's offense. They will get you into a scoring shoot out. Expect a 38-34 type of game. Don't underestimate the nerds. They play smart and inspired football week in and week out. No. im saying they are capable of defeating us, but lets be real here. Pelini came into his job with the intention of stopping the spread, i liken NW offense to Missouri and always will. TOSU is a better team now that they have their suspension players back on offense.

However all Big Ten teams except the scum in Ann Arbor respect the others program......They all have positives in some way. this game has all the makings to become a classic. Great Defense vs a good but mistake prone offense and a rebuilding offense vs a talented but young and mistake prone defense. I dont think you will be disappointed Saturday.

Im comfortable with us being ranked under #20 until the team starts showing that they are competitive with the B1G. The fact of the matter is, we play Ohio State this week, and everybody and their dog is going to be taking us as victors. i wont be surprised if OSU comes out and smacks us in one that really brings out the real fans among us. If we shoot ourselves in the peeter like we did tonight i think they could hang 50 on us just like wisky almost did. If we cant at least fix the D then we are looking at a possible .500 season.
