The winds here in the upper Midwest today were in the 25 - 30 mph range with gusts to 40 mph ... Not good for either QB. Basically, what you saw was a typical MSU vs. UM game... Hatred for each other with dates back to the beginnings of both Universities... These games are not pretty to watch 'cause both teams want to simply beat each others brains out, with numerous penalties, cheap shots, etc. These two schools are 'a rock throws distance apart' that are locked in mortal combat like the Hatfields and McCoys !!! Great fun !!! As BadgerFan mentioned, Sparty has a pretty good defense (athletic, very quick, and very well coached). The Badgers coming to East Lansing next week should be a good matchup between an outstanding Badger team (under the control of Wilson) coming to grips with the Spartan D. Should be a good game.... I'm excited, easily the best game left on our schedule. Much better than going to OSU.

I understand it completely, its fun to hate their picks and its always easy to criticize but if you've been to a Gameday they're really enjoyable. The whole week preceding the show they come on campus and do stuff, you get to make signs, be on national TV, Celebrities sometimes appear and your school is on display to the entire nation.

As a general rule it always helps to win out. There's a pretty strong correlation between winning games and winning championships though consensus among the scientific community is still lacking.

It's National anti-Bullying Month so we had to go easy on them. They're lucky we didn't meet in November like last year. It looks like we may have outdone you on that one then. 'Tis the same reason we let Ohio State look good for 2 1/2 quarters. I was really looking forward to you guys passing 80. Quick question, how many "true" road games do you guys have this year? It seems like every time you're on TV, it's in Camp Randall. Very good question and this is something I took note of late last year....the Badgers play only FOUR true road games (by that I mean I'm not counting the NIU game in Chicago). This is very similar to other schedules that teams design to "make runs" like Auburn's last year in which they also only had four true road games and only one in a state that does not directly border Alabama.

Just further convinces me that I'm right to hate jobs that require working with the general public. It can end badly for them or you. It may not have been right but people that are willing to flip out on a service industry employee for something small like scanning a $50 bill usually make a habit out of it, and go around starting sh#t and making others miserable. I love when people make statements like "he fell into their lap". No, Wisconsin was in an intense battle with several other schools for Wilson. True enough but I'll say what I said about the Badgers' offense and their weak slate...the Spartans are playing those teams like a good defense should play those teams so until I see otherwise (they shut shoelace down today) they have my respect..and to a certain degree fear, especially when traveling to East Lansing.

I'd say they have the best overall defense in the country...#1 in yards allowed, 3 in ppg, 3 in rushing defense and 2 in passing defense. They're the real deal and it bugs me how little respect the Big 10 gets defensively. Maybe I'm hanging out in the wrong places on the internet but it seems a lot of fans (especially the SEC) think we don't play that side of the ball never mind that UW and MSU both have pretty good d's and PSU and Illinois have some good stats too...oh well.

Denard looked bad, real bad. MSU's win is good for NU as far as winning the division.
