our offense? explosive??.......i am still waiting for that. Hoping for an explosive offense, because all the tools are there. With the multiple sets, players like Abdullah, Martinez, Turner, there is plenty of explosive elements there. A steady force like Burkhead, as versatile as he is will not hurt. I may be drinking too much koolaid as I mentioned, but there are glimpses of explosiveness that back it up.

I think it is WAY too high of a ranking. With that said, I think there is enough talent on the team to earn this ranking next season. I think the offense will be explosive and tough to handle. With the experience of this past season and the upcoming spring they should be running on all cylinders come fall. If the defense can improve and get back to it's old ways, this team could be dangerous. At the very least, they should be competing for the conference title with a solid chance to play in a BCS bowl. Call it optimism, koolaid drinker, whatever, but I am excited for the possibilities.

Learned nothing new in this one. Same recipe for every loss this season. Undisciplined mistakes that stop momentum in all three phases and hurt us late in games. HUGE talent gap, that has to change or we will continue to have mediocre seasons. Disappointed, but still can't wait till next season, optimism all the way!

I think beck did a great job this year for a first year OC. It was evident that he had his growing pains at times, i.e. Wisconsin, but overall there is great promise for the future. Next year, with another spring and fall under their belt I think the sky is the limit for the offense. With all the experience returning at every position group, this will be a strength for Nebraska. If the defense can improve and live up to the standard of the Blackshirts, should be a fun season to watch! I can't wait for the bowl game, and it will be a long off-season of excitement for next year!

I don't post on here often, but I thought I would chime in on this thread. I love the Huskers and their is no other CFB team that even comes close in my mind. I have always been a supporter of the Ole Miss Rebels because i was lucky enough to go to 2 home games in Oxford and it is an amazing experience! Arguably one of the greatest tailgating atmospheres in the country! I grew up in Memphis, TN and went to Ole Miss vs Georgia and Ole Miss vs. Arkansas when Eli was a redshirt freshman and Deuce Mcallister was in his prime. But, my parents raised me a Husker, and living in Omaha now there is no one else that comes close to matching my love for the Huskers. GBR

Legate is an absolute beast. I knew about him when he was in high school and recruited by the University of South Dakota before transferring to Nebraska. He piled up the yards in high school so has experience carrying the ball, although on an ENTIRELY different level. He earned his scholarship by working hard and selling out every snap, practice and games. He is very selfless and a team player which makes him the perfect pack for the fourth quarter when we are trying to wear teams down. He is an extra lineman on the field, and I love watching him on Saturdays!

This is my first post on this board, but I have been a reader for quite some time. I am long time Husker fan and really enjoyed the game on Saturday! I love what I saw from the offense and thought Beck called a great game. The formation with Burkhead at fullback is genius. It adds a new wrinkle to the offense that will be hard to stop. Burkhead gives a real threat from that spot and having Green, Abdullah, or Heard at the I back spot and Martinez at QB we truly have a tripe option that the defense has to account for. I am excited to see the evolution of this offense and think that unit will only get better with time.
