Going into 2022 season we would have: Hickman: RsSoph (if he moves back) Fidone: Soph Carne: RsFr Rollins: RsFr Then whoever we recruit next class that would be showing up that fall as a TrFr. Looking at the projected above depth chart, I would encourage taking 3 this class (if they are the right 3). If you don't you're going to have to look Transfer/Juco, might need to anyway.

Right on que, Beckton told Carnie Sunday that we are looking to take 3 TE's. Communication picking up even more with the staff. No offer yet but he's ready to commit on spot. Miami Oh has basically given up hope of holding him. CB for N. Glad they are seemingly making room for him. That TE does get empty in a hurry also. As far as that room goes in the future it's almost like Fidone is a 2020 recruit (we didn't take a TE) because it's unlikely he RS's, so that'll put a year between him and Carnie/Rollins.

Per a Iowa 247 report, Iowa has turned their focus to Carnie after losing out on Helm and Fidone (basically). Report also said UCLA is getting involved with Carnie. I think Carnie is going to have options, maybe soon, that Gifford didn't necessarily have. The thought of Iowa snagging Carnie gives me nightmares.

We need his recruitment to be a snooze fest....we are the safe/comfortable choice.

With all due respect, no. That would be a terrible move. There are plenty of TE prospects available. Carnie is an absolute lock if offered, they can find one more.

I assure you almost 100% that they will take two TE's in this class. Only taking one would be a huge roster management mistake. No way you take 1.5 TE's in three classes.

I don't believe we are in play for Olsen. Crownover seems bound to stay in Texas, but we are at least in the game. The Carnie being told he was 5th TE was as of Saturday.

We told Carnie there were four TE's above him. I believe one was Helm. Fidone, Crownover and Rollins are the others, I'd assume.

Said if NCAA doesn't allow Sept visits he'll just make the decision then off who he's most comfortable with right now.
