  1. Listening to coaches interviews again on the long road back to Illinois. I find it interesting that one of the most common phrases used in all the interviews is "I don't know". And we wonder why we continue to go through the same thing over and over. Also for Pelini to say our players play sometimes not to lose instead of to win is the most comical thing I've heard him say. Our coaches have coached this team in that way for years. Why would the players play any differently? I brought a buddy to the game who hasn't been back to Lincoln since we were relevant. At the beginning of the second half he looks at me and says, it seems like the fans are just sitting here waiting for something bad to happen....sad.
  2. Potential our family won't be able to make this one. Let me know if you would be interested. I will sell at face.. Text: three zero nine 360 5899
  3. My 7th grade sons basketball team played for the regional championship tonight against a team that has pj mangieri's younger brother(he's a beast). we had only lost two games all year and they had lost one. Needless to say this was a big game and the next step to the state tournament. My sons team ended up losing and my son took it very hard. He was obviously emotional on the bench after the subs had gone in...here's the great part. Mangeieris dad comes up to me and says, when your son was shaking hands he said to my boy, "Go Big Red". Proud husker dad.
  4. I've asked this before: So what can they do about this? We were so close to beating Georgia-GEORGIA! The same team that was only .15 seconds away from being able to play for the national championship!! Yet to read some of the garbage on this board you would think we are the worst team that ever played the game! Our defense is NOT horrible. They played well against Georgia. If Ameer hadn't fumbled we could've very well upset them. We had them sweating for 3 quarters. I'm proud that we are in this group of teams that have won at least 9 games since 2008. That IS elite company. Ok, so we have a lot of work to do but it's getting done. Just think how much Taylor has improved since he started! I don't mind CONSTRUCTIVE criticism of our team but I get so tired of people coming on to the board and dissing our team because they rarely have suggestions as to who we could get to come here and do better and they seldom make any suggestions as to what they think would make this team better. So, I'm asking again: What can they do about this problem of implosion? Did you just say the defense played well against Georgia? They did play well against Georgia. Um, no they didn't.

  6. And we lost to the best teams on it. Pelini has massive issues beating teams with equal or better talent. This
  7. I get what your saying, however, who cares? I would like to see where we stand with other top teams in the "embarrassing loss" list. Wisconsin twice in two years, UCLA, oh state, south carolina, etc etc. and thats just in two years. Our defense is horrible and we hear the same stupid stuff after every season... "Our defense will be better next year", " we are close to turning the corner", " we can play with anyone" etc. really? It's ridiculous. Nothing's going to change next year with the exception of playing a sub par schedule that we are all excited about.
  8. Which I think is why most people are so worked up. We all know deep down that no changes are going to happen which means we are going to be having these same discussions next year when OSU kicks our butt in the BIG champ game.
  9. Good for them. We aren't "most teams". In what way? We appear very average these days. Which is the crux of the OP's original post isn't it? We are an average team, and Husker fans are not satisfied at being average. People can cite the nine and 10 ten win stuff all day long, but the bottom line is we are not a team that is even remotely close to contending for the MNC, we were fortunant to contend for the title of weak conference, and then couldn't even finish that. I certainly don't know the answer, and at this point am not calling for a head coaching change (mainly because I don't know who we would get), but I do have serious doubts that Bo can get us back to that elite level. Agree, I have 0 faith Bo can adjust and get us over the hump. I want to have faith in Bo but I'm really having a hard time finding a reason to.
  10. So part of your argument is that we could have played easier teams this year in the Big12? Really?
  11. Dumber Excuse me? It was a stupid post, No one cares of you watch it. I'm sure you will be wearing you Notre Dame shirt and rooting for your new team for the championship. I'm sure you are a Miami Heat fan, you love the Falcons etc.
  12. Against teams that really aren't very good. Watch good football teams and you'll notice how horribly behind we are in this area. Just look at yesterday, Fl St, Al, Georgia, kstate etc are light years ahead of us in this area. It's not even close.
  13. Not prepared, no discipline, players still not sure where to be on D, lack of developing players like a backup QB, horrible decision making at times etc are reasons it falls On Bo. He was clearly out coached in every one of our loses and several games we probably should have.
  14. Bet he finds more wisky fans on the way home.
  15. I am, I think that hit is EXACTLY what this team needed to wake the hell up. We need a three-and-out on every Wisconsin offensive possession. TIME TO STEP IT UP BLACKSHIRTS! Ya cuz playing for a big championship was definitely not enough motivation.
