  1. not good obvious block in the back to start series doh!!!
  2. Wow I am surprised they are going after Dennard but the fact they can is a little alarming!
  3. I almost think we should Move Reed to WR and Move Kinnie to TE....I really think Reed is a better receiver and Kinnie is a better blocker....and I think Kinnie might even be bigger....thoughts? Also the failed 4th down play was blown up mostly due to reed's man pushing him into Long and as a result Burkhead could not turn up field...running without Cotton at TE is a big issue and Reed is NOT the answer...we definitely need to run behind someone else.
  4. Woody nailed it....The way to beat Michigan is let their QB try to do too much. He makes terrible decisions in crucial situations A LOT. He will definitely make us pay if we do not contain him but from what i have seen he is very hesitant to run vs earlier in his career. He was pulled last week because of his poor play, and his backup is not a threat to run it as much but he is a better pocket passer altho we have beaten much better. The only concern I have is their RB who seems to be getting better every game, the key will be stopping him believe it or not. As far as their defense goes....lots of river boat gambling....we need to make them pay for the all out blitzes which with the way Martinez has been playing, we can do this and score on big plays....this will be a battle, but I think we match up pretty well.
  5. Indiana should have beaten Iowa last year, having said that ......no I don't see them beating MSU and the reality is we need to worry about Michigan and forget about the B1G Ten championship.
  6. HMMM I have to disagree with all of you on the conference being tougher than we thought, yes we got killed at Wisconsin but we also handed them that blowout on a silver platter. Wisconsin was definitely a poor matchup for us.....having very little talent at LB. OU would own this conference as would OSU right now, and KSU might be better than anyone in this conference as well, and Texas, well we would not beat them as we were 1-9 against them, but Missouri is still a good team and Texas A&M is no slouch, OU was shocked by a very similar team as we were. NW beat us because their strengths went against our weaknesses, and they were consistent, run the ball right at us.... and Bo and Co. refuse to play the younger players when the vets are hurt, it was this way last year and will continue to be... As for Recruiting....Badger not a chance bud....Tradition, facilities, and Team recognition, coupled with a good head coach = success, we won't be going anywhere but up our best recruiting classes were the last two, it only gets tougher for everyone else after this season. We had the second fewest returning starters in the conference and we are 8-2, and next year we return almost the entire offense minus Kinne and Caputo.
  7. Yea I think a lot of Freshman go thru this...We just didn't have twitter to know about it until now...If Rex goes down(let's hope not) he could be getting 10-15 carries a game. Everyone knows what kind of talent he has but he will need to bulk up a little bit to be an every down successful back in the B1G Ten.......Hang in there Aaron!!
  8. I thought Bo mentioned that it was his shoulder at the very end of his press conference, someone might be able to confirm. Bo said he didn't think it was super serious but you know Bo on injuries lol
  9. He was quoted as saying he wasn't running full speed on film, and that when he saw it on film he understood...paraphrased. He also went on to say Marlowe has really stepped up his game, which I think might be frustrating him some, he will come around.
  10. He was voted leader of the day by the Marines on BTN, so I think he played pretty well today,(9tackles)... and obviously came up BIG when we needed him most!
  11. That 4th down stop will never be forgotten by this husker fan...and I am sure we will see it in videos for future blackshirts, absolutely perfect execution there!
  12. Michigan likes to blitz so we will need some plays to combat blitzes,(jailbreaks, screens etc) and I think we will see more big plays next week. On defense I would Love to see more pressure on the QB, but on Robinson that is very dangerous too. I think we will see a few different wrinkles but for the most part we will see what we have been seeing against a very dangerous offense and an improving defense. I also Hope Rome is closer to 100% and that Cotton's injury is not as serious as it appeared. I think we should have a lot of confidence after today's game, and the atmosphere certainly won't be any more daunting than what we saw today.
  13. It is pretty crowded in there...Courtney is also in there somewhere.
  14. Now we need to get Reed more involved to offset this loss which is huge....
