Literally everyone but the biggest Trump apologists knows anyone would have done better. No one else would have disbanded the NSC’s pandemic preparedness office, downplayed and called this a hoax, ignored the “Playbook,” put their incompetent son-in-law in charge, turned important press conferences into KKKampaign rallies, promoted and then took unproven and dangerous drugs, and on and on and on. This is insanity, and those rationalizing it need to get a grip.

Materiality Judge Sullivan already ruled Flynn's lies (incl. denying conversation with Russian Ambassador about sanctions for Russian election interference during investigation of Russian election interference) were material. And Flynn would have had to admit that to the Court to procure his guilty plea; Sullivan can't just rubber stamp it (as you can see from the questioning above).
