  1. Umm, i don't think Scout does a very good job at all with this. Right off the bat. IB - Ward and Okafur aren't on the team anymore. WR - Kildow plays baseball now, Baptiste, Bell and Davie are DBs. TE - Kerr is no longer on the team and Eddie Ridder is missing. DL - They forgot Thaddeus Randle and Jeff Uher, and i don't know who Nathaniel Allen is but he isn't on the Husker roster. DE - When did Spencer Long start playing defensive end? LB - Mitch Hron and Tyson McGill haven't been with the team since the start of the 2011 season. There are 5 current LBs that aren't on that list. CB/S - Bart is no longer with the team and Stafford is missing. I count over 15 errors with that roster from Scout.com. I'm need for a job, maybe they can hire me to fix it. Nice catches, Peat was missing off of the DT's as well.
  2. Talented young man it appears. But I can't help but notice how poor the competition was, I mean they ran the same exact play over and over and over. Very impressive highlight tape nonetheless.
  3. As many question marks as I have about the defensive side of the ball, I feel like we have more options compared to last season, when we were scrambling to find corners and healthy D-lineman. I'm eager to see who breaks the rotation at DT with everyone healthy. Sure bets for starters are Steinkuhler and Rome. Then you have Randle, Guy, Peat and Kevin Williams fighting for playing time. That group has quite a bit of potential. LB depth will be similiar to our corners last year. Lots of question marks but lots of options. Compton is a leader and had a great year, Whaley came on towards the end and coaches thought the light finally turned on, if Fisher plays we are in for a long year, between Santos and Zaire I think one, if not both will be impact players. I like most people think Seisay will start from Day 1. Andrew Green started playing much better, if he has a good spring I look for him to have a solid season. Evans was one of the biggest disappointments from last season. He got way to overhyped, based on him having a few good plays in the Mizzou game in 2010. If Heard sticks to DB I would almost guarantee he takes a year to redshirt to learn the ropes. Last thought, LET COURTNEY OSBORNE PLAY! Dude is a playmaker.
  4. bingo. why on earth would we want our top recruiters spending their time organizing instead of actually recruiting? 100% Agreed. I questioned this at first but makes total sense
  5. Personally I think last years class will end up far better than that 09 class. +1
  6. I agree we will be able to better debate in 3-4 years BUT in that 2009 class, 3 of the projected best 5 never really amounted to much (Cody Green, Chris Williams and Dijon Washington). Rex and Ankrah the other two higher ranked that have contributed more. T-Mart and Gomes obviously stand out in that class with about 7-8 others that will be multi year letter winners/starters. I think the last three classes (2010-2012) will end up more productive than the 2009 class. Even without Bubba I like the 2011 class best out of all of Bo's classes.
  7. Aren't they awaiting the decison of highly rated OT Kyle Murphy as well? I think he was down to Stanford and USC
  8. Why do so many people on this board feel so superior because they have 1,000 posts and apparently know everything about everything. Make me look even dumber? Come on man. Either join in on the convo or do what your conscious said and not even look. With that said I think he has done a respectable job with the talent he has had. But we definetly have to get better talent in here. I'm fine with giving him a few years in the BIG and with the facilities we will have but we got to make some strides which I haven't really seen any consistent improvements the last 3-4 years.
  9. If Doc isn't gone this year than probably the next. I have a dream coach in mind, who currently isn't employed right now and quite honestly would never end up at NU but hey I can dream.
  10. His injury has a great deal to do with the amount of offers that he has received. I think he is well worth the gamble especially since we only have 11 kids committed to this class. I agree with gamecocks but I still don't think he gets offers far from outside KU, KSt and Iowa. How many C-1, C-2 or Class D athletes in Nebraska get offers from outside Iowa, Kansas, and Ohio? Regardless of how impressive stats and measurables are it just doesn't happen. I wouldn't expect Shoff to get those offers even without this injury talk. With that said I think his measurables and film are just as if not more impressive than Jared Crick was in HS, but with the scholarships we are looking to give out in this class at his positions (Thurston, Peat, Valentine, Curry), I think if he wants to come to NU than his best bet is to walk on and earn a scholarship. And I think he would pan out and would end up with a scholarship before he ended his career here.
  11. Nice find, looked it up and has an offer from OU and visited them this weekend as well (1-22)
  12. I'm much more concerned about CB and DE than I am DT. DT's were pretty banged up this year but we return; Seniors-Steinkuhler and J.Jackson, Junior-Randle, Sophomores- Rome and Guy, Redshirt Freshman- Peat and K.Williams DE we will be deep for 2012 but that list includes 4 Seniors. That only leaves Junior Ankrah, Sophomores Okuyemi, Vestal and Ashburn (None of them have seen a down of significant action). Add incoming Freshman McMullen and Moss. That's a pretty inexperienced group for 2013. CB depth is fairly similiar with 5 Juniors in 2012 (Green, Evans, D.Washingtion, Seisay and Jean-Baptiste). Sophomore Josh Mitchell and thin pickings after that. Arguement can be made for safety too but point being that DT I am not too concerned about, doesn't mean I wouldn't take VV and Curry if we can get them. Would be great additions.
