  3. "Expressed interest" is a pretty loose term. It's tough to know where to draw the line but I like to keep it to guys who I feel pretty confident are seriously interested. For me, that generally means either setting a visit date, having visited or at least made some sort of Top 5/10. "Wanting to visit" doesn't cut it. As we've seen today, recruits can talk things up pretty good - even after visiting - and quickly jump ship. That's fine if others want to have a bigger list. But that's mine (for now).

  7. I agree....especially with your last paragraph. Compared to what we are used to seeing on the Nebraska team, this team has a LOT of talent. Just need the final piece/pieces. Really? So you're not trading the guys we have now for Erick Strickland, Jaron Boone, Mikki Moore, Terrance Badgett, Eric Piatkowski, Tyronn Lue, Alvin Mitchell, Venson Hamilton, Cookie Belcher, etc., etc., etc.??? Heck, even the 03-04 team of Dourisseau, Muhleisen, Conklin and Drevo would probably handle this team because they could go 6-11, 6-10, 6-9, 6-8. The talent we have at the 1-3 spots is probably the best we've had in 20 years. But the overall talent is average at best. You don't go 6-12 in the conference with the most talent you've had in 30 years. If that's true, Miles should absolutely be fired right now. When I say " not used to seeing" doesn't mean we have never had talented teams. Would you say the teams you listed are the norm here? I admitted there are missing pieces that are holding them back. Being the norm and most talented in 30 years are not the same thing.
  8. The coaches see Jacobson as a 3. That's why he was taking more 3s as the year went on. I'm not sure I see it but that's what they said. I love Morrow but he's a 4 in a 3's body. He's a tweener who lives on pure effort.

  10. Assuming they are being developed. I'm not saying he should be fired. I've long said Nebraska is an incredibly tough place to win at. There are just too many competitvie D1 programs and not many legit D1 difference-makers in Nebraska high schools. Kids have a lot of options to go too a lot of schools that have more tradition and more of a chance to compete at the highest level without having to go so far from home to get to Lincoln. He's done well recruiting small players and non-existent at recruiting bigs. But it completely boggles my mind that we have no concept of offensive basketball. Four years in and we don't even have an offense to run. We were #281 in the country in assists this year despite starting two point guards for most of the year. That's at least a slight improvement as I believe we were in the 300s his first three years here. And that's pretty much how it goes with Miles. His years at Colorado State were much worse in terms of how many assists they got compared to the three years before he got there and the three years after he left. I just don't have much faith that he has any clue on how to create offense and put our players in a position to succeed. When you're working with lesser talent (compared to much of the B1G) you have to be doing the little things right. And with no offense and no bigs, we don't have much of a chance.

  12. Yeah, I was wondering about that. But it's the right high school. So I was guessing it hasn't been updated in awhile and he's grown?
