  1. A couple commits to add which is nice and quite a bit of movement - new guys with interest and some guys don't seem interested. Priority: OL - Fortunately, we already have two very good commits and leads on others. We lose six OLinemen after this year. Really need some tackles LB - One commit and in good shape with Domann. Good start. Three for sure and 5 wouldn't surprise me. DT - Need to restock here. At least two. DE - Have to think we're in good shape with Fant and Stille. Still go after one of the top guys. QB - Wilson committed and we'll take O'Brien who we have a good shot at. Good shape now here. ----------------------------------------- My guess at the number for each position. Commits are capitalized in red - others are targets. QB - 1-2 - TERRY WILSON, PATRICK O'BRIEN RB - 1 - APHONSO THOMAS WR - 2-3 - Roddrick Bryant, Tino Ellis, CJ Riley, Clyde Leflore-Chriss, Steven Smothers, Roddrick Bryant, AJ Taylor TE - 2 - JARED BUBAK, Jack Stoll, Ryan Becker, Austin Pope OT - 2-3 - Matt Farniok, Tevin Jenkins, Tremayne Anchrum, Cole Van Linen OG/C - 2-3 - BRYAN BROKOP, JOHN RARIDON, Boe Wilson DT - 2-3 - Garrett Rand, Amani Bledsoe DE - 2-3 - Xavier Kelly, Noah Fant, Ben Stille, Tre Williams, Mykelle McDaniel LB - 3-5 - WILLIAM JOHNSON (JUCO), JoJo Domann, Pernell Jefferson, Dontavious Jackson, Isaiah Simmons, Nehemiah Augustus, Victor Viramontes, Quayshon Alexander, Ja'Quain Blakely CB - 2-3 - Kentrell Love, Marcus Garvin, Jarett Cole, Marcus Garvin S - 2-3 - Eric Burrell, Marquel Dismuke
  2. Looking to visit Nebraska and Texas again before deciding some time this summer. Said our weight room technology really stood out as he hasn't seen anything like that anywhere else.

  5. USC is "big" for him. Also listed Michigan, Stanford, Washington and UCLA.
  6. Yeah, that was a confusing way to word that but it was just the offer - no commitment. "An offer to further my education" would have been more clear.

  8. I get the feeling he's leaning Indiana.
  9. No, I see it. Big plays are "most often" created by the skill of the players involved. Unless Imani Cross is the player involved. I've heard ya loud and clear. I think the discussion is over from your end isn't it. I mean, the only thing more you could really say is what the hell Imani ever did to you? (insert sarcasm here, I really don't care) No, not unless Imani is involved. I would have said the same thing about that particular run if it was Ameer. But since you disagree please explain what Imani did on that run that was special and "made" the play happen. Perhaps I'm missing something.
  10. Are you purposefully ignoring "most often"?
  11. The more precise way to say this is he broke off one (or maybe a couple) long runs per season on 75-85 carries. And no, I don't think it necessarily translates to him doing more of the same given more carries. That long run against Michigan State was one of the most fluky runs you'll ever see - right up the middle against a very good defense. There was nothing special Cross did to make that play - literally any RB on our roster would have scored on that play. Big plays are most often created by the skill of the players involved. They aren't random occurrences that will simply show up given more opportunity.

  13. I figured someone would point that out. But if you look at the article, they listed an "Alpha Dog" and then "The Next 10". He was #5 on the Next 10 list and thus #6 overall.
  14. Do we need a separate poll for third-string RBs?
