  2. Timely: Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH 25m25 minutes ago Updated 2016 Rivals 100 out. There are 12 prospects from Georgia alone, 16 from Big Ten East footprint, 3 from Big Ten West footprint. Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH 25m25 minutes ago If you remove NJ and MD prospects, the total would be GA 12, Big Ten 11. You buy that?

  4. Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH now1 minute ago Per @FootballScoop Georgia hiring Wisconsin RB coach Thomas Brown. There goes Wisky's ATL recruiter. Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH now8 seconds ago You think these southern schools want to grant the Big Ten an inch of recruiting momentum down there? Nope. No way.

  6. Which players are we talking about? Are Petteway and Shields some of the "players that were here"? Do we want to talk about where we'd be without them? How about Pitchford and Parker? Not all-conference caliber but apparently no one Miles has recruited in two full cycles has been able to unseat them. Tarin Smith, Tai Webster, Moses Abraham, Nick Fuller and Jake Hammond are all Miles players but none of them is exactly lighting the world on fire despite being given opportunities.
  7. I hope his mom is ok. But it's a horrible excuse. C'mon. If its bothering you this bad and effecting the team. He needs to quit playing then. Don't use your mom has an scapegoat. Really, please look at the whole team instead of attaching Petteway every game! I have. Pitchford spends about 2 mins a game "near" the paint, rest of the game he spends it somewhere between Lincoln and Omaha. Webster looks like he only cares about doing good or winning, when he feels like it. Our bigs couldn't jump over an ant for a rebound. With all that being said, I blame TP for most of the issues. His shot selection at times is atroucious, which leads to turnivers and more stress on the D. if he makes two shots to start the game he will go Kobesque and start jacking shots. He can commit some of the dumbest fouls I've seen in a loooooong time. If not for miles benching him he could litterly foul out in the first half. Last year he played within his own game. This year I Ono what he's doing at times. Last year, we surprised teams and Pitchford was playing better. He is now the main focus of every defense. I am sure it is frustrating watching Benny & Webster throw up bricks on wide open shots. I do not blame him, as we would be lucky to score 30 a game without him. See and that is coaching! 3rd season in the conference...other coaches have your stuff figured out. Yes, but he had to use players that were already here. Give him a chance to move in his recruits and I do not mean as Fresh & Soph. We are not Kentucky, so we are not going to get all 5 star recruits. And we lost Gallegos while gaining Abraham, Smith, Hammond and everyone else with another year of coaching. I don't think it's unfair to question why we are so much worse. Not say we couldn't have taken a step backwards from last years run. But we're really barely competitive this year with more pieces.
  8. These will be held June 6 and June 13
  9. The new staff will run a series of three hour camps as opposed to the multi-day camps the previous staff ran. The major events - for top prospects - will be two "Friday Night Lights" camps on June 5 & 12 from 6-9 pm both days. They will coincide with a continuation of Big Red Weekends (started by the previous staff) on June 6 & 13. There will also be other camps open to any high schooler. They will also be three hour camps running 1-4 pm each: Linemen - June 1 & 8 QBs, RBs, WRs, LBs & DBs - June 2 & 9 Kickers, Punters & Long Snappers - June 5 & 12 Youth camps: Grades 3-8 - June 3 & 4 and 9 & 10 - 9am - Noon both days
  10. Is anyone allowed to have a respectable offense for the Huskers anymore?

The other teams' offenses look respectable.

  11. I'm not as sure on this. Tarin Smith looks to be a solid contributor, but that's all Miles has "shown" so far. The incoming class looks good but let's make sure they turn out before we get too far down this road. Hammond, Webster, Fuller and Hawkins haven't turned out much.
  12. Brian Rosenthal ‏@HuskerExtraBR 8m8 minutes ago Purdue's Vince Edwards, on #Huskers: “We noticed they’re not that good of a defensive team, boxing-out wise." He had 3 of 18 off rebounds.
  13. Shields has 13 in the second half. The rest of the team has 10.
  14. Maybe just go after some bigs instead of more shooters.
  15. 0-13 from three since the first minute of the game. But we should definitely keep firing. Law of averages and such....
