  1. You mean right after they went out of their way to hand us the game?
  2. They would have gave the 02 squad a run for their money, maybe
  3. Indeed it takes at least 10-20 years to become competitive and even make a run at the Title game. Just like Bama, LSU, OU, USC, Texas, tOSU, Miami, Oregon............
  4. We don't play special teams anymore, we used to thrive on the block punt and return game, but Notre Dame had the 4 horsemen and OU had Bud Wilkinson too
  5. Every time I get drunk and post that is the mindset. I sorry that you have to get drunk to impress yourself...I fear that is the case for some of the other posters on here as well. Badgerfan is pretty much a troll, and the "Nebraska fans" that come on the Huskerboard to slam Nebraksa are really pretty pathetic. And those same ones that slam the Huskers here are the same ones that made it known we were tired of being choke artists back in The Osborne days. The Boosters sent a clear message that it was getting tiresome getting blown out by legit teams year after year after year and thats when McBride and Osborne grabbed them some speedy crimminal thugs like the Florida teams had. Holier than Thou fans are hysterical and full of themselves in dictating what a fan is. Most of these now were probably the lowlifes threatening Cosgroves children. Seems it depends who the coach is, and who selected said coach as to the importance of pointing out the flaws and worthlessness of staff
  6. That's what I was thinking when I read your post. No offense but, what do you know about John Papuchis? I understand JP has been around Bo since LSU but that doesn't mean Bo is going to allow JP to start calling the plays the first year into the job. Carl Pelini seemed to do a fine job of that didn't he? No
  7. No one can argue with you Badgerfan, Nebraska has fallen from grace and will continue to stay there as long as Osborne continues to protect his "Legacy" with his terrible coaching hires and meddling with the program. I've heard mentions of the Huskers being in the second tier here, second tier teams don't get blown out several times a year, and lose at home to -.500 non bowl teams and then proceed to lose to a barely bowl eligible team they hammered earlier in the season. In saying that, Wisconsin has become a second tier team which is commendable being in the Big Ten which is historically a second tier conference in Football prowess. Other than an occasional tOSU National Championship of merit, mainly their claim to fame is beating a seriously weak PAC10 team in the Rose Bowl (Mich97, PSU94) and then claiming they should be respected. Nebraska without a doubt holds Brand more than Wisconsin will in most of our lifetimes but you are correct in the Huskers becoming Minnesota slowly but surely in our terrible coaching staff selections since 97. Mainly Head coaching and their buddy hiring ways, Gillispie, Cotton, Jamrog, Golf Pros, etc. Even our fan base has become apathetic and cherishes mediocre-terrible performance at the sake of thinking 9 wins a year means something playing laughing stock schedules. We spent decades slamming the Big Ten for being weak and hiding in the Rose bowl as to not have to face the Miamis, Bamas, FSUs, UFs, LSU, OUs and even Nebraska of ghosts past. Now all of a sudden the Big Ten is supposedly a "tough" conference even though its at its lowest point in a century with the loss of tOSUs, PSU and Michigans top tier status so to brag about either Wisconsin or Nebraska at this point shows just how much we're both grasping for straws. Wisconsin is without a doubt on its way up but will never be competitive for the National Championship against a powerhouse team which is still something to cherish, we did from 73-94 and that turned out pretty good in 94,95,97. Keep your head up though, your headed in the right direction with a good AD and head coach! I wish I could say the same about my beloved Huskers.
  8. Actually it didn't and was ridiculous in every sense of the word
  9. Kinda like Pelinis only had 2 bad games right?...........grain of salt instead of kettle IMHO
  10. All jokes aside, TO would have been fired if he was coaching in today's generation. If he didn't get the axe in the 70's, it would have come during the 7-8 bowl game losses. Thankfully, TO is the AD. This is why Bo will be safe as long as TO continues to be the AD. Not likely, its exactly the same as it ever was, Tom was losing to National Champions and the occcasional close loss to someone he should have beat. Bo gets beat and blown out consistently by teams we should beat We should've beaten Wisconsin in Camp Randall? We should've beaten Michigan in the Big House? We got blown out by Northwestern at home? We got blown out by Texas at home? We got blown out by a talented Virginia Tech team at home in 2008? We got blown out by Virginia Tech in Blacksburg in 2009? Do you think OT against your so highly held Mike Leach's Texas Tech team in Lubbock in 2008 is a blowout? We should've beaten the national champion runner up Oklahoma in Norman? We should've beaten an eventual #1 in Missouri in 2008? How about at Kyle Field with a slew of injuries and a officiating debacle last year? There have been two bad losses in the Pelini era: 2009 Iowa State and 2009 Texas Tech. But that's it. You can claim Northwestern this year was a bad loss, but they are a talented team and played very well that day. You can claim Texas last year was a bad loss, but to do that, you have to intentionally forget that even with a poorer record, Texas is still Texas and they will always have better talent than us on both sides of the ball. This is possibly the most hilarious thing Ive read or heard even from the biggest Tradition Coalition Ostrich, I thank You
  11. Really? whats a typical Big Ten team? And a typical SEC team? I'm actually excited about this responce Im still waiting, my guess is you don't want to touch this with a 100' pole since your entire program has tried to emulate Nebraska for decades I'm sorry what? I didn't see your post but now I don't see much of a point in responding to it because you've proven it doesn't matter when others make sense, you'd rather live in your own world. For example, my entire program has tried to emulate Nebraska for decades? I claim two programs, USC and UW. USC, which has more to do with this discussion than UW does, owes Nebraska absolutely nothing as far as football heritage goes. UW, which I still don't understand why you brought into the conversation of a matchup between NU and USC has not been trying to emulate NU for decades. Barry, was influenced by NU sure and he's said as much but the idea that Wisconsin is some counterfeit copy of some mythical all-powerful NU team is absolute poppycock. We owe NU nothing. UW is far superior to NU in everything but nostalgic memories of gridiron games in some cob-webbed technicolor past. I've already discussed this at length in other threads and that line of thought is exhaustive...you're only trying to bait me. Thats what I thought, you just say stuff to say stuff with absolutely zero substance to back up your claims. Your welcome I let you off with a "out" free pass of knowing you were blowing smoke up rears

  13. So in over a quarter century, Osbornes ugliest losses equal to one season of Bos? Is that the point you're trying to make? Last years fiasco was beyond bad coaching, this year was a direct result of that.
  14. Saginaw, Michigan. You are welcome. I'll bet his entire staff was from his High School too!
