  1. You have no idea. We have the fiercest across the board rivalry in the country hands down. Interesting reading. My favorite has to be "The Prank" of 1961. That is hilarious. Kind of reminds me of when I was in high school. My buddy and I were actual basketball officials, had the uniforms and everything, we would wear them to our HS's games with latex baldhead pullovers and blindmans canes. When there was a questionable call, we would wander out onto the court feeling our way with the canes and looking around like Stevie Wonder. The refs thought it was funny but our AD wasn't impressed. The Prank was a great story, obviously you could never repeat it or come close to is with today's security at these events. I was at The Brawl in '04, and that was intense (especially since I was wearing garnet and surrounded by Clemson Students) When I saw the clemson guy throw our players helmet into the stands, and then one of our guys rip off a clempson helmet and start running towards their players and fans swinging it like a bat, I knew that it was about to get way out of hand. I never understood why so many of the players removed their helmets themselves, that left them wide open to get their dome split.
  2. Zone read primarily, but we have thrown in the option here and there. We also play a lot of spread with 3 WR's to give him more running room. In the past 7 games, since he's been the starter here are his stats: 67.5% Completions 1187 Passing Yards 12 Passing TD's 6 INT's 107 Rushes 443 Net Rushing Yards 4.1 Yards per Rush 7 Rushing TD's 0 Fumbles Lost (that I can remember) His last 40 yard dash timed him at 4.5 sec's. So he's not Vick, but he can move pretty well, and he's been playing in a zone read system since High School and his best two games were the last 2 that he played, IMO. Although, the Kentucky game he put up great stats, but it was Kentucky, so take it for what it's worth.
  3. I heard each school only got 12,000 tickets. Did you guys here the same?
  4. wow, his talents are being completely wasted. It's obvious he should be in the WWE.
  5. "My c$%k is Smelley" Oh yeah, that was fantastic. I'm still waiting for the day when we can play the Oregon State Beavers. The shenanigans will be reCockulous!
  6. Since Spurrier came to Carolina we've appropriated an additional $40,000 each year to Coaching Equipment...j/k. I wonder why he tucked his elbow with that throw?
  7. Your fans will talk about our t-shirts and bumper stickers, at least. haha, oh yeah, I remember some good ones....Do you recall the 2001 Outback Bowl when we beat osu? I saw a bunch of "OSU's Nuts Can't Hang With Our c$%ks!" That was a classic, and a bunch of buckeyes commented to me about it at the tailgate.
  8. We're building bridges here in Huskerboard, how 'bout them apples!?!? That's a much better snap shot. I agree, if Shaw would've played against AU, USC would've won, but that wasn't the case and that game is history now. I would only humbly add, that our current RB, Brandon Wilds, was actually the 5th string RB when we started the season. We lost Carson, 2nd string, against ecu, then Miles broke his wrist, at Miss State I believe, and Baker was never that healthy all year. Wilds had several 100 yard rushing games, avg'ing over 5 yards a carry and was amazing... considering he was a True Freshman and that our OL played decent, but not great.
  9. Congrats to David, I watched highlight reels of him today, he's a nasty LB.
  10. Does this guy block or is he primarily a receiving TE? He looks rather skinny. Both, but he's had a couple TD's as well this season. He's one of our True Freshman that has earned some decent playing time this season. We recruited him knowing that we were looking for another Jared Cook type of TE with decent size, but even better hands/speed.
  11. I can't imagine that. I was a student athletic trainer in college and the #1 rule was to stay off the message boards. Too much inside injury info that could get out and too many bookies out for that info. yeah, or stuff like this... http://www.shakinthesouthland.com/2008/10/clemsons-ncaa-infractions-and-truth.html
  12. bwahahah, yeah that was a good one. He blew up #28
  13. Not to hijack the thread or anything, but I'm more curious to see if what I heard about Phil Fulmer going to Kansas is true, rather than whatever happens to Gill. First Mangino, now Fulmer...is there some surplus of wicked cheap buffets in Lawrence or something?
  14. I think that's a great idea, how about another Big 10/SEC matchup. We both have a bunch of bowl eligible teams every year. Why should the state of Florida get all of our money from fans attending the games?!?!
  15. I don't know if I could put Bruce or Ace in Gamechanger status. To me a Gamechanger would be the guy who could create 1-2 MAJOR or a series of big plays that the general public would point at saying, "that's the play/series when (insert school name) sealed the deal." Ellington had 2 Big plays this year (rushing TD against kentucky and receiving TD against clemtech) as well as a fist full of nice returns. Ace had 1 nice bomb catch against florida and the punt return TD against ecu was amazing. However, IMO these 2 guys don't do those things often enough for me to classify them as Gamechangers. However, Shaw, Jeffrey, Ingram, Clowney, Swearinger,Gilmore and Allen are MOST DEFINITELY Gamechangers. Those guys make huge plays on a much more consistent basis AND have each had plays which directly effected the final score, to the affect that we would WIN the game.
  16. I'm good with those first 2 words but I don't think there is any need/desire to be able to use cocktastic. edit- dang it works...... Just wait, it'll catch on! How about the work "reCOCKulous....i used that word fairly often...it is apart of my vocabulary since we're on this gamecock verbage discussion We went to the Director of our English program with your inquiry, this was her response... http://gifb.in/WFsV Also, I call the trojans uscheat on all forums.
  17. That was a great play. We do have trouble with fumbles, and we've had more than a few interceptions (however most were thrown by our former QB Garcia) but we are nasty in creating them. We have 2 guys, Clowney and Allen who are in the Top 20 for forced fumbles. http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2011&div=IA&rpt=IA_playerforcedfumbles&site=org&div=IA&dest=O Also, USC's #5 in Passes Intercepted http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2011&rpt=IA_teampassint&site=org&div=IA&dest=O
  18. Can I appeal? Yes, but you need the proper paperwork and the docket is full until January 3rd, it's very busy around here.... We're all running around like a c$%k with its head cut off.
  19. c$%ks!!!!! Notice to Nebraska fans who didn't see the last time we played each other: You will see fans at the game, at tailgates and well...really just walking around Orlando shouting this.
  20. I can see you point, we haven't been that great of a passing team this year, except 3 or 4 games, but when AJ is on the field, DC's design for him. The DC's historically will play a double coverage on him, and I agree, this will free up QB Connor to break loose.
  21. Alshon Jeffery is a game changer, most teams double team him every game, and then this is what happens when they go one on one. This was his last game. This was against bama.
  22. Show me where I lied. #FactsInYourEar What??? show me where I said you lied??? Like I said, "the garbage the c$%ks have to put up with with some of the clemtech fans."
