  3. OK time to get rolling. HOw about a DPE special now.
  4. 1-20 def need a stop right now. Decent field pos result to give us a shot.
  5. Charter School Advocate Betsy Devos for Education Secretary Post
  6. Trump picks Betsy DeVos for education secretary post Government monopoly schools and the monopoly Dem NEA union are going to take a beating from Devos and Trump. Ha. Bout time.
  7. Great game for Ryker! And yeah Newby...he looked like a different guy to me, in a good way.
  8. Then prove you know how to use google. This is not hard to figure out pretty surprised you don't know it it's been true for a couple decades.
  9. They probably do, in the short term. Well, yeah, no arguing that. I just think it's grievously irresponsible to not think long term. I understand not everyone shares that belief. Also, can we just take a second and appreciate something else... Ben Carson for Sec of Education? The guy who believes the Great Pyramids were gigantic ancient grain silos? Grievously irresponsible eh? What do you think about year after year of half trillion to over a trillion of deficit spending with no projection of improvement anywhere in sight? Long term! Iran deal looks good in the long term?
  10. Obama is a demagogue and his administration is extremely under qualified. What is the name of that fiction writer who worked the Iran not a treaty treaty then told the press the admin was lying to the dopes (public)? What was that over qualified genius's name? Diploma, background? (I could do this dozens of times he has next to nobody suitably qualified anywhere DOJ lol State Dept double lol, VA IRS omg they are all idiots).
  11. School choice analysis is uber simple. Is goverment schooling performing well...results and cost? No. No. Can you please explain what analysis you are using to come to this conclusion? Learn how to use google.
  12. What are low IQ kids? How is this decided? What happens to the low IQ kids? I was taught that hard work trumps all, and that potential is fostered, not innate. This line of thinking smacks of government policy that deprives us of individual agency -- it doesn't sound very conservative. Also, rockets, being inert, do not require surgeons. Rockets aren't inert. Potential is innate the result is something less than potential, always. DNA determines cognitive, height, and ALL potentials. Then behavior and environment are added. These factors can allow for maximum potential or not. They never push one above max pot'l so low cognitive DNA cannot ever produce top functioning STEM professionals. Severe malnutrition results in people who are dumber and shorter, etc, than they could have been. "What are low IQ kids? How is this decided? " Don't you know? Tell me. You think you're smarter me on this topic. Tell me. How is IQ measured well? What is a low iq? "What happens to the low IQ kids?" This is a stupid question as my answer has already been made clear. So, you're being argumentative or not paying attention. Hallmark D behavior during "conversation." "i was taught" you said. Not sure if true or a manner of speaking. But I guess you were indeed taught that. All D teachers teach D dogma and you had some leftist teachers for sure. What policy? I advocate NO government policy. Democrats and you are the ones who argue for and force on us government POLICY, government schools we don't use and don't like and our tax money pays for it against our will. There are no end of Dem leader douches to be sure, but offhand I can't think of anyone that I would like to give tax money to LESS...than idiot lying jack****s such as D Rahm Emanuel or D idiot lying jack**s Bill de Blahblahblah and these two lying democrat jack***s have the 2 largest confiscation piles from the ruled class in the Nation (guessing maybe whatever lying idiot who runs LA is number 2). Everyone gets it that DNA locks in max height individually. Everyone gets that Bolt's fast 100 times are largely genetic. But most western leftists believe at the same time that genetics means nothing to cognitive potential. Suspension of disbelief is powerful. Propaganda (in schools, "news") is powerful. It takes a village...that is propaganda and it is FALSE. It's the number one reason why us school choice voters don't want to support government schools. We also don't want to support lefty NPR/PBS. Or lefty anything, that our tax money is used on.
  13. Nebraska v. Penn State in the CCG! Wouldn't that be a hoot. If TA, Westy and Carter are all healthy I think we'd win. (I want NO part of Mich or OSU in that game however. Sorry. My bravado has limits.) Yeah sure Minny has no shot vs. Wisky right? They have a shot. Could happen. Maybe the refs call 5 holds on Wisky. The will deserve 20 (Sargonmetrics actual infraction predictor)
  14. Odds are probably 10-3 finish which would be good but yeah 11-2 with a bowl win would be a huge boost to the image and recruiting potential. Tommy has been key no doubt. Our top 3 choices at QB for next year were recruited by Mike and Langs so it seems fair to expect that the job winner will perform pretty well. I hope we get some JUCO's or transfers that can start because we will again be too thin in areas as you noted plus maybe TE too.
  15. These parents have $9k or so per child, to spend. They are customers. They have school money to spend...lots of it! They are demand. Providers come because, they want the 9k per child. You are worried that no business will show up to take $9k per student? Open the econ book again. The socialism is bad econ book, btw. Only liars and idiots speak this fictitious false negative impression you say will come forth. I'll never say it. And btw so what? It's none of my business and its none of your business. Parents need concern themselves with their OWN evaluation of their OWN local school choices and decide accordingly. You think the parents are too stupid to figure out if their schools are really shi&&Y? Do you? How many parents do you think are that dumb? Where do they live? What race are they? Can they speak fluent English? Who exactly are these supposedly incapable parents that there will be such a high concentration of them that shi&&y schools survive and thrive where there is such a dearth of intelligence and attention and local leaders say nothing and can't be heard? Where is this land of idiots you think would fuel all these bad schools and allow should be failed business to prosper? I want to know because I'm moving there and opening schools. Easy money. Beat the crap out of crooked idiot operators taking away ALL their customers and making me lots of cash and giving the poors better service. Everyone's happy even me yeah super. Where is that city of idiots with voucher holding parents? That's where I'm headed to make lots of money the old fashioned (non clinton) way...earning it.
  16. No please god no You're a sexist pig! /sarc I too like some 11 games. Morning anticipation quickly satisfied by the action. Game over. Forget about football and TV for the rest of the day and night if I choose. I know we don't want many due to recruiting of course and whatever helps our recruiting I am for.
  17. Fed should increase it's transparency 10 fold. That's what I think. I don't have any feelings about this topic.
  18. I want school cost, leadership, culture, mission, values, performance, and cost to all improve and change. I want parents alone making the best choices per their decisions...with zero concern about what any democrat anywhere thinks including the White House and the Supreme Court and Zoogs. Vouchers will do all those things. So I am for vouchers. (sure state and local gov'ts will create some stupid democrat rules and make em conform but not in Nebraska. Not in Indiana. Not in Utah. Etc. So....those states will beat the idiot states....more and more over time. Then the voters in the idiot states will have some facts and data to do some hard thinking about. They will probably eventually choose to throw out the governments that mandate men in the girls room. Or mandate socialist econ, history, and other books. Participation ribbons. All stupid crap dies in competition and transparency eventually. Yay Evolution! Yay Progress! zoogs...Taxes...you keep bringing that up and as it pertains to vouchers I don't care if taxation methods are changed or not as far as voucher programs are concerned. Vouchers are about spending on chosen schools they are not in any way tied to any taxation scheme logically. D's and lawyers always love to tie all sorts of crap together so they can f with people. Not me. Taxes is taxes. Spending is spending. They aren't related, unless D lawyers tie em together. I don't like D lawyers...I don't trust them either...and I have zero respect for them...I want them to lose all power they have....so I would not support tieing the issues. But many governments will. Whatever. Give me vouchers for all and I'm done on the school topic (well...regulation will remain a fight too untill the regulation lovers lose that fight but not where I choose to live). Qmany wants to know if I would mandate private only schools? No. Competition rules. States and locals want to compete in the school business...fine. Just that they cannot have ANY advantage bestowed upon them from the governments. They must pay the same property taxes as other org's, etc. Over time there won't be many government schools because private entities will routinely outperform them by huge margins. For profit, not for profit I don't care. But hmm....I'd be a huge fan of excluding any foreign ownership of schools here. No I'm not Mr. Free trade heck no. I'm for we win on every trade or commerce deal/law...or we don't sign it. USA. USA. I wouldn't allow any ownership of US ports, uranium, lots of other stuff either. So, now readers get it that I'm not a globalism free trade person which I guess should be made clear as this country perhaps considers a huge increase of non-government schooling. BTW foreignors have a million times more influence on OUR GOVERNMENT today than I like...so it sure is not like new schools would be uniquely at risk. Taxation...what significant changes do you want in taxation zoogs? I might agree. Probably not I rarely hear good taxation ideas from lefties but the second law of thermodynamics does admit there is non-zero probability that h*## could freeze but it's super duper unlikely. Sargon's simple tax suggestions (no chance they ever happen) 1. Schools (since zoogs wants to know) are not mentioned in a tax code. Major tax codes would not mention any spending. Conversely, taxes that result from certain specific spending would always be stand alone. For example, if the Fed taxes gas sales then there is a bill that defines the tax fully, and doesn't address anything besides gas sales tax. Special phone service tax? Nope. Just sales tax like everything else. Cable...nope. Sales tax only. Booze...yep...tax it. Costs society money so drinkers will pay the sin tax. Cigs...same...pay cig tax. Taxes that are stand alone and make the people who create a cost bear the cost...fine...good with anything clean that does that. Carbon tax lol not a chance I ever support that. 2. the rest of my desired tax ideas are NOT going to happen. Anyway...income tax code abolished. Replaced with a couple of pages that covers nearly all....then perhaps a dozen pages for government interference of the market. Tax rate well...first I need to say I'd go mostly with Federal sales tax and most people and many businesses would pay nothing in income tax. No individuals pay income tax until 100K or maybe 200k something pretty high. The cost savings would be mammouth. No more IRS screwing with basically anyone. Taxing consumption pushes some tax bill to foreign goods which is great for US companies and workers. This is the biggest tax thing the US should do but it won't. Why? Because the ruling class are globalists, and they love the power and data that comes from the IRS. Also it would radically increase the taxes on the oligarchs and they don't want that even though they always say they do (please Warren if you think you need to pay more in taxes just buy a president that you know will do it (btw trump will try to hit the bs tax advoidance scheme that trading "investment" companies love called carried interest.) One more tax code rule I'd like targeted at the oligarchs nearly all of which are democrat hypocrites like zucker gates blankfien diller etc etc so many zillionaire oligarch liars would take a day to make a good list.....INTERNET SALES ALL MANDATED TO BE TAXED AT ALL LOCALES THE SAME AS IN PERSON SALES. There...there's a little deserved 20 years ago f u to democrat oligarchs beginning with Jeff Bozo who owns the "free media" known as the Washington Compost "News" "Paper". Pay some taxes Jeff, and try turning a profit now and then. (not taxes but I want anti monoply law redone so Amazon and Google and Microsofts never again happen here they'd be broken up way before they hit this size and power). 0 I did warn you zoogs that I don't want to talk about taxes and vouchers at the same time. They are not related...logically. One topic is small..vouchers....taxes is a GIANT topic. When D's interject tax talk into voucher talk the reason is usually to redirect the conversation. It's probably why you are doing it. Voucher for the people! Yay..for the people...for the kids! For the poors! For the peoples of color!! Help em!!! Vouchers!!!
  19. Zoogs Do you think perhaps technology adaption (and not the existence of public K-12) is a reason for nondigital textbooks or the continued existence of teachers instead of prerecorded video lectures? I mean, I do love the idea of using taxpayer money to buy iPads for public schools. That's an epic rant there. To go back to what QMany said about school choice, do people without children get to not pay any taxes for schools? How would that affect cost? Since you say you do believe taxpayers should be allowed to choose which school system their money goes, it's not clear to me what your leading "Definitely not" refers to. Regarding Obamacare, do you actually think the federal government could have hired more nurses and doctors to improve public health? How would that work in terms of delivering care? Zoogs Your first sentence doesn't make sense. No ipods, android and chrome those are both free. Epic...no I'd need to triple the volume and emoting, IMO, to get there. Choice!!! Choice!!! Let the peoples' has der choices!!! Why go back to Qmany and your question. This is simple. Give poor folks vouchers (means ANYBODY...who want's em. Period. No gov't forms. No questions. Simply apply..receive...done). Then let supply = demand. It always does when there's money and voucher money around. you said "do people without children get to not pay any taxes for schools? How would that affect cost?" First, I never said a thing about who can avoid current taxation for school spending. I'd leave it as is....or any good change idea I'm open to. The voucher debate is about parents targeting their spending at specific schools, not about who get's to pay less tax (if anyone). Second...cost is affected by school budgets and management, not by taxation. So, are you asking me about cost cutting? I wouldn't enforce anything regarding school budgets. I'd leave it up to the schools and customers (me) will simply choose which one we want. Maybe you mean voucher amount? I'd force efficiency by doing vouchers at something less than our average spend now since it's way too high because, like all monopoly driven endeavors, it's over-priced. Government spending needs to be cut almost everywhere. Schools and VA included. Any market replacement of monopoly or government garbage now should be budgeted lower to force spending decreases.
  20. I'm curious, do you want a "credit" to be able to applied to the school of your choice or for everyone to foot the bill for their kids' school and the government (and taxes) to be kept out of schools altogether? I have no children. Definitely not otherwise (insert Dem govt power person name here) will tell schools the money isn't going to be delivered because they don't allow men to use the girls bathroom. Anyway that is a process question and there's no point worrying about process when it's still not even agreed upon that non-government schools should receive equal tax revenue per head. Or said another way...taxpayer me/you...should be allowed to DECIDE WHICH school is getting my tax money. Me...I can tell you I would not EVER vote to give my tax money to a democrat run school. But I don't have that choice so democrat run schools have always gotten my tax money for 20 years running. Process question answer anyway....vouchers are fine in general. Lawyers, government workers, and various other scammers and idiots can screw up anything however so it ain't just what is done, it's also who is doing it. The devil is in the (no...not that) PEOPLE. School choice analysis is uber simple. Does the government have a constitutional requirement to tax for and provide non-market government owned k-12 schooling? No Is goverment schooling performing well...results and cost? No. No. Is schooling extremely complicated or requiring of national security consideration. No. No. Are there non-government workers and investors and benefactors willing and able to provide good schools? Yes Is the market for non-government schools big enough that they would seem to have a decent chance to survive and thrive? Yes /endanalysis Any system that should work can (will) be made to function poorly / too expensively when government (democrats, overpaid zero value lawyers) wants to kill it or suck blood from it. Obamacare is about healthcare I guess right? How many tax collectors were hired to provide us with better country "health". If you want more health don't hire any lawyers or tax collectors hire only nutritionists, doctors, trainers, and nurses. Schools...back to that ha US spending is at or near the highest in the world per government school student, while average student performance is at or near the bottom, right? We have the data and it's undeniable. We spend too much and our results stink. Therefore... STOP doing what we are doing. POSITIVE, SUBSTANTIAL CHANGE....few rules 1. terminate the failed bosses. Fired. Out. Don't call back. (drain the swamp...btw) 2. new management throws old "strategic plan" in the garbage. 3. new management makes a NEW plan...strategies tactics metrics culture people technologies 4. new management executes new plan (some forced employee turnover, some product/services terminated, new product/services rolled out. Consider school books.... Most are paper printed, still. That is idiotic. Most should be digital being therefore MUCH cheaper and kids no longer need 40 lb backpacks. Save the planet, too! I can already hear idiot arguments like kids don't have computers. OMG shut the h up before you even type that. What is the cost of one decent tablet compared to the cost of 10 thick paper texts? The answer is....get rid of paper books already duh. Dems rule the paper book business and they like ruling it (because they like ruling every single thing they can...it's what they live for...ruling) If kids all used e-books as a norm then all new would be e-book authors have LOW barriers to entry into the market. Bad for the power Dems who own the business today which is about 2 things money being only one. The other is propaganda (polite word is bias). Schools given real choice would dump roughly half of the books being purchased today because the competition (both content and price) would QUICKLY provide options that are preferable to many teachers and admins. e-books..continued....e-books can be loaded with video too right? Hey right and that is like what...like a lecture right? So like my primary lecturer could actually be the same person as 1 million other students too right? Hey yeah that's right I never thought of that. So like I don't really need many local teachers around doing "lecturing" when I can have awesome lecturer X embedded in my book and he/she only costs my parents like $10? Wow neat let's try that. No...the democrats (teachers union, Obama...all of them) will list a string of 100 reasons why having a brilliant lecturer's lectures available to you is actually a terrible idea because (insert the 100 lies and stupid arguments) .
  21. All D's "don't like school choice." Is there any prominent D who likes it? Government rule school is the D reality and commitment and most R's and some libertarians and independents want choice. Like I said I hope the D's lose this fight (been losing it a bit...but extremely slowly, for decades). Winners? Low IQ kids are not EVER going to be rocket surgeons you do know this right? Potential rocket surgeon kids (IQ 125+) SHOULD do MOST of their schooling with other high IQ kids studying at a pace that lower IQ kids can NOT handle. AP classes. AP schools. Socialist Germany even knows this. Safeguards? Provide a safeguard for those who need it, fine. Do 90% of American students need government D's providing them an education safeguard? 60%? 25%? How about in Millard, NE? What percent of the kids there do you think NEED a D government safeguard? Millard is not downtown Detroit. Millard kids do NOT have the same needs. And frankly if there were no government schools at all in Millard the mostly intelligent and committed parents would be served ONLY by schools that perform. There's no market for bad schools so market forces wouldn't let any of them survive. Government forces keep them running for generations. What percentage of American k-12 students need government "safeguards" because their parents are too lazy or stupid to get them into an appropriate school?
  22. I'm sure Trump is pleased that apparently some D's already believe he's Mr. Compromise and Mr. Not Serious. LOL. Write down your predictions on what he will and won't do, today, and revisit it in 4 years. You'll prove to yourselves how poor you are at predicting him.
  23. Oh, and let me guess...there are real consequences when the students mess up! You guess better than knapplc But, being a slow student/low performer does not get a kid booted. They only get booted for serious rules of conduct breaches. For example bullying and fighting is basically non-existent there. No swearing either! No cell phones during school hours O M G that MUST be a rights violation call the (anti)justice department quick.
