You forgot a keyword Championship. It's a helluva lot harder to get rid of a coach that has won it all versus somebody still looking for their first conference championship. I think Bo needs to tone down the hype talk until he starts fielding 11 win teams. Other than "We're back" I can't think of Bo hyping the team. Got an example? Bo is always announcing "we're going to be better than last year." And claiming championships shall be celebrated by all. I wish he had more of a "I know something u don't know" attitude. But I can't complain.

the bottom line is, if you want to keep your coach... you have to pay him. there is a fine line between "happily paid" and "open for offers". personally, i despise all of the speculation articles that pop up in the papers every time a dogs bark is interpreted as bo being interested in or offered another job. if you have faith in the long term of your coach, you have to invest. otherwise, he's gone. recruiting at nebraska isn't exactly as easy as whistling dixie. the kids graduating in the class of 2012 were born in 1994. what's nebraska football? yet, you have some fans picketing for a fire after three losses. it's chess not checkers. bo is my coach.

ESPN flubbed the whole poll idea. It's a must to secure a poll like this. It's good business. Why does ESPN want (should want) to invest in securing a poll like this? Because if a school like Middle Tennessee wins.... they set up to shoot the commercial and 5 people show up. The whole commercial ends up being crappy. Resulting in nobody wanting to watch College Gameday. Next thing you know, their numbers drop off and the strong pillar of college athletics starts to go with it. ESPN goes bankrupt, making sports less popular and participation goes down. Before you know it.... Armageddon. All because ESPN didn't want to drop a few pennies on security.
