  1. Stupid Well what exactly is your idea wise guy. Just sitting on here venting at other fans? I guess if that is therapeutic for you, go for it. Stupid
  2. Just a guess obviously, but I"m thinking he could pick up one last paycheck and never worry about money at this point. Maybe he would resign and accept a buyout for less than his full contract? would you do that? just give up?
  3. Perhaps, but disregarding the negative affects of a petition, it at least forces Eichorst from straight up lying. Anyone with a brain could tell he was lying about having 90% positive emails, but there was no way to factually call him out. This is something he can't lie about. He'll just ignore it... but still. Can you back your lying about his lying up?
  4. If Scott Frost wasn't a former Husker almost no one would be talking about him on this board. I don't see what substantiates him as a sincere head coaching candidate at Nebraska other than he "knows the program." His résumé is good enough to get a head coaching spot at a mid-to-lower tier football program at best and that's impossible to debate. If any of you really want a coach that can take Nebraska to level the fans clearly want then Scott Frost is probably not the right answer as he is a massive gamble. Riley is a massive gamble, take a number. An unproven coordinator with zero head coaching experience is a substantially bigger gamble than Mike Riley no matter how you slice it. That's a ridiculous and foolish response. The original point still stands, as well - if he hadn't gone to Nebraska, almost no one would be talking about him here. Agreed. I'd much rather see us pursue someone like Pat Fitzgerald - he'd be an excellent fit to lead our program. I thought you said you wanted a proven winner? what championships has he won? and what makes you think he'll leave the school that he played at.
  5. Wrong again. Which part? http://m.journalstar.com/sports/columnists/sipple/steven-m-sipple-osborne-s-sense-of-calm-will-be/article_4728be79-4ff7-5d81-9b58-4d61ccf004d4.html?mobile_touch=true BOOOOMMMMM goes the dynamite.
  6. Oh ya, another great first post.
  7. The same reason posters want Scott Frost as HC. "He understands NU ways"
  8. Holy crap! Never knew we lost that many players.
  9. Is a new chancellor's first priority really going to be to fire/hire a new AD and football coach? No! don't be so sure, their will be boosters and big money guys making appointments to see the new boss.......if not, there are many ways these guys can apply pressure, the last thing a new Chancellor wants is an uprising or an AD on the run and a phone that never stops ringing.
  10. Is a new chancellor's first priority really going to be to fire/hire a new AD and football coach? No!
  11. Patrick O'Brien doesn't fit that mold? Or is he not coming to Lincoln? Could be. We've just had too many misfires with the Harrison Becks and even Sam Kellers of the world. I hope he's every bit as good as everyone says he his. You do realize that Riley didn't recruit any of those so called QB's and not every kid that's signed will work out. you roll the dice.
  12. Ha ha! Last week when Langsdorf tried to be creative with a QB bootleg which went awry Husker fans almost strung him up at the nearest cottonwood. This week he calls three established running plays and Husker fans are again eyeing that cottonwood. I would think someone named Nuance would be able to see the subtle differences between the two situations. Somebody put it best last week: They ran the right plays in the in the wrong weeks! Besides that, it's pretty sad that the coaches let fan reactions to a certain play call affect future play calls. Really? they wouldn't consider a pass at the wnd of the Wiscy game because fans were too upset with the pass against the Illini??? Do you know that's the reason they didn't call a pass? You must have some great insights. It's easy to sit here five days later second guessing the play calls, and spitballing about what they should have called instead. You remind me of a poster a few years back who said: "Why don't they just call plays that work?" 99.5% chance of winning that game. All they have to do is run the clock down. Easy. Illinois has no timeouts remaining. They could've taken a knee. And they call a play from the playbook which includes an option to pass. But they somehow supposedly communicated (smoke signals??) to Tommy that the pass option was off the table for this one time special case. And you're defending this idiocy? In the Wiscy game, it's completely different. They know they need a first down to ice the game or give Wiscy the ball back with over a minute to play. They didn't even try for a 1st down. They did what they SHOULD have done the previous week (in a completely different situation.) They didn't need to pass, but three straight up the gut is pretty much guaranteed NOT to get a 1st down against Wiscy. I can't believe I even need to explain this crap. 13 year old kids playing Madden would've called the correct plays in BOTH situations 99% of the time. Are you a 13 year old who plays Madden? That certainly would explain your behavior. The way you prance around the board taking victory laps after our losses, relishing in our misery. Ha LOL
  13. That surprised me. with the loss of RG and the butt load of injury's we've had I expected to be behind last years sacks.
  14. Yep, just happened last December. well no worry's, it will be a couple more years before we decide to do it again.
  15. I hope you're being sarcastic. You show a guy enough $$$ and he could care less how long the last coach lasted. Good luck selling to recruits and assistant coaches. 1 year firing does not happen. I love how fans enjoy spending other people's money.
  16. He'd make a good OC. Better than Langsdoofus. Great let's hire a drunk. I don't think he'll be looking for a job anytime soon. he needs to get himself taking care of. plus, no one will be fired or let go.
  17. Another first time head coach, brilliant!!! Yeah, it's not like Nebraska has a history of 1st time head coaches having success: Tom Osborne - 255-49-3 (.836) 1 of only two head coaches in D1 CFB history to never win fewer than 9 games per season Frank Solich - 58-19 (.753) Never had a losing season Bo Pelini - 67-27 (.713) The only other head coach in D1 CFB history to never win fewer than 9 games per season So you define success as being fired as the HC at NU. nice. if they were so successful they would still be coaching at NU I don't recall Dr. Tom being fired as HC. Now, he was pushed out as AD, not head coach. I digress, I guess I'd take any of those 3 over what we currently have. Sorry I should of said FS and BP.

I guess you've never heard of Harvey Perlman or Steve Pederson? Nebraska is the only school in history to fire a 9 win coach without any losing seasons. In fact, they've done it twice! and yet he got fired. Duh your right I've never herd of them. What does steve have to do with you coach being sh#t canned.
