  1. I think "resisted arrest" and "fled the school" is the bigger issue. MJ or not, it's still illegal, own up to your actions and be responsible. As Bo has stated about prospects, if my players can't trust a kid, how am I supposed to trust the kid? I don't see giving a kid a second chance when he hasn't even made it anywhere yet.
  2. You sound like my sister. But don't you mean, everyday. I umpired high school baseball for the last 5 years and consistently had 2-3 rainouts a week, I couldn't take it and had to move where there the sun shines throughout the year. I'll give you the scenery though, I miss that. Anyway, UW has a solid recruiting class going right now and even with their inconsistency it would be hard to flip this kid or that Qualls kid. Lupoi is a great recruiter, but I question his coaching skills, I don't think he ever had anything special while at Cal. I feel like UW lands kids by selling dreams and future over reality and now.
  3. If you're into pot smoking hipsters and rain! football at UW is just a party, when their student section doesn't fill until the game starts, they are fairweather fans
  4. he's only spending two years wherever he goes. do you think it hurts that TM is a senior next year and there is a question mark on who is going to be passing to him when he's a senior?
  5. Your username is very accurate. haha thanks? I went to a nearby university, multiple reasons to not be a gonzaga or adam morrison fan, plus our old mascot being the savages before we became PC
  6. Holy sh#t... I hope these posts are sarcastic. I HATE watching a game and hearing this sh#t: Dammit Morrison... You're a player of the year, you have the game on the line, and you pass to freaking JP Batista? Broke my heart... Maybe if he played defense the zags wouldn't have given up a 17 point lead in what, 8 to play? Seeing him bawl on the court was icing on the cake after that collapse.
  7. This guy is the recruit that organized a group verbal committment at UW this past summer. Flip the leader and other chips may fall, like Stringfellow
  8. This article by deadspin is exactly why I only watch espn for games and never for their programming. There is a reason many of their best people leave for other networks, because espn is at best sensationalism fabricating stories for viewership. please read. http://deadspin.com/5929361/how-espn-ditched-journalism-and-followed-skip-bayless-to-the-bottom-a-tim-tebow-story
  9. I'm going to throw out a wild speculation that the coaches offered him because they think he can excel at the game of football. Totally agree, i don't think you waste an offer on a kid that you don't believe will reach the field on gameday just to land another kid. just throwin out one scenario. with more schollies to throw out this year, they can take chances on a kid that they believe has a high ceiling
  10. No disrespect, but i'm sure the coaches have a reason. one that comes to mind, is maybe just getting a foothold back in the south, especially Florida.
  11. If the coaching staff is still recruiting him, then IMO, they never felt like this kid burned them. Speaking in general, getting butt hurt over a player decommitting after his position coach and recruiter left isn't worth holding something against a kid. If he decommitted leading up to the LOI date, then the kid obviously is confused and I would say forget you and move on.
  12. Terry Joseph was a top recruiter for non-BCS schools, Louie Tech, who got themselves into the top 25 for a week. Just a matter of time before we reel more in. (Rose and Cook)
  13. Unless TO and/or Perlman are playing this very close to the chest and sack Bo after this season, I think he should have a solid 3, maybe 4 years guaranteed. TOs job was to come in, right the ship, then phase out when they felt comfortable with the athletic department. However, in a sick to my stomach way, I could see him getting sacked after this season and already knows it. My conspiracy theory: Let's say the rumors of TO and HP are true. Eichorst interviewed with HP around the time of UCLA loss. Right after that loss Papuchis goes off on booster at the breakfast. TO apologizes to booster to smooth things over and meets with Bo. Bo has out of the blue health issue on gameday due to whatever TO and him spoke about, terrible UCLA showing...bottom line, stress. Impromptu press conference right before conference opener?? Seems like an uncharacteristic action, there haven't been too many surprises since TO became AD and the quote about being old and out of touch. Then the rumor of TO and BP being upset because they weren't bigger players in the hiring process. Obviously TO would squash that rumor, that would completely freak out Husker Nation. Bo's response when asked about the new AD before the OSU game. Another embarrassing loss and Bo just saying flatly they have to win out. A combination of boosters, team performance, and Bo's attitude, forces HP to phase out TO to bring in a new guy to sack Bo bc TO won't. Probably and hopefully not the case, but I've heard of stranger things happening. I'd be sick to my stomach and probably stop following Husker football if this were to happen. Now for my optimistic view. Reasons why he is good: 3-4 more years allows for his best classes to mature and become upperclassmen. The classes weren't ranked high because of being smaller classes, but the players they got have high ceilings. LBs from '12, Charles Jackson/jonathan rose, VV&AC and Mac&Moss. Afalava, aka mr boombastic aka mr lova lova, is gonna be a stud. JWesty sounds like he will be WR of future but we'll need a guy like Enunwa who is a big target and can block too. Imani is going to be a bruiser that we haven't had in decades and presumably Tommy Armstrong leading the offense, a TRUE QB. TM reminds me of J Lord who was supposed to be a S but Carl Crawford went MLB instead so they converted JL. NEB has had terrible luck with QBs decommitting or transferring over the years. Personally, I don't know how well off our young OL depth is, but that's my biggest concern. Desperate need for TEs and I think we have ???s at safety too. I think they're different breeds of players than upperclassmen now. Faster LBs, bigger/physical DBs, space eaters on the interior DL and power/speed on the outsides. From what I've read, Matt Davison said, TA sounds like he is a leader and someone not afraid to take command and can actually play, a big upgrade from TM (nothing against him). Gives the coaches that much more time to develop and gain experience while figuring out this conference and not playing the top 4 teams every year.
  14. I love this video. Grew up a Mariners fan and was at the '95 division series against NY, the Kingdom was LOUD. Dave Niehaus is a legend, he was the Lyle Bremser of the Seattle Mariners, a couple of the best PBP guys to listen to.
  15. Seattle's D is nasty, set aside whatever happened at USC, he gives players chances and people want to play for him. Once their OL is cohesive, look out.
  16. So you're saying he's UW bound? :/ Really? Thats what you got from this lol forgot the sarcasm sign i hope Yes and no. I do like our chances for Newby. If he has that "husker" mentality that Bo and Co try to recruit. If he wants competition and to fight for playing time, he's a Husker. If he wants a shot with higher % to play, UW is thin at RB and they have a great recruiting staff to lure him to the NW. My confidence level in the American voters is much lower than my confidence in Newby.
  17. So you're saying he's UW bound? :/
  18. I wish Bo had a twin brother who worked at the NCAA that believes in sticking to the "process", then maybe it wouldn't take FOREVER to find out if a kid qualifies or not.
  19. I'm sorry, all of your responses are in no way correct and for reading what has previously been written, we are all now dumber. I award every other fan forum site a point, and may God have mercy on us all. Geez, a simple no would have sufficed. Sorry to go Billy Madison on all yo' a$$es and I dont post much but I frequent this site a lot, it has good and bad information, but can we please stick to why we view this website 20x a day?
  20. According to my source, UW figured he'd be taking his visits but still filling confident in him sticking to his commitment. Told Scott Eklund, paraphrasing, that he is happy with his decision and excited to be at UW with his future teammates.
  21. If we could flip a UW commit, applaud our coaches big time. UWs Lupoi is one of the best recruiters out there. And this kid has always planned on taking visits to other schools. He is up for grabs as much as any of our verbals until signing day.
  22. I'm pretty sure I read an article that he was offered for baseball too
  23. Haha...I usually agree. But this year OSU has two of the best DBs in the BIG12 in Justin Gilbert and Brodrick Brown. They are both lockdown corners. Maybe their coaches were able to sell him on this plus playing in the BIG12. I see what you're saying but, 2 DBs in the past...decade? NU has sent at least 5 to the league in the past 3 years and Stafford could be a stud this year with better coaching and year of the system under his belt. A lot could change when February comes, if the staff is still interested in him. I just don't believe he decided schools based on who will take him to the league and more about playing where Mama can see him play every week.
  24. He's a UW decommit. Their coaching staff quit talking/recruiting him after he decommitted.
