Torii Hunter Jr. committed to Notre Dame over the weekend and won't be taking any official visits anymore. So we're out. Not a big loss in my perspective.

5 Star Mackensie Alexander is now visiting for the Michigan game. This is a huge deal. Remeber, he was committed to Tennessee until Terry Joseph left then decommitted, so I feel that we are a a major contender. This is starting to look like a big weekend. We have three big wants there, Priest, Quessenberry, and now Alexander.

Turns out that he might have a little childhood husker in him. Had an interview after the LSW vs LSE game, and was asked about his interest in the huskers. He said, "Always will be a contender, they're always there for me, because as a child I grew up with them right there.

I don't know much about him. Anyone have a word to put in on him? Had some legal troubles earlier in the year but the charges have since been dropped. He is a good athlete and is a Safety prospect for Nebraska. I like him a lot...if he stays out of trouble. Top 3 of Neb, Mich St. and West Virginia. Safety? I thought we were done with safetys since we now have Johnathon Rose, Gerry and McWilson.

There's also the fact that his grades are now passable, as long as he passes the standards of the NCAA, which he is. I dont care what his gpa is.

A smart kid would see the benefits of coming here. They could all probably start or contribute right away. That's exactly what Joe Mathis said. Almost word for word. Then he is smarter than his grades suggest. The big question for me has always been, why wait in line behind a bunch 5 star talent when you could be playing from day one? Joe Mathis actually really buckled down over the summer. Got his GPA up to a 2.6 and passed the ACT by athletics standards. I mean not a genius, but he's on his way up.
