  1. I don't know... Do what we did for 20 years and put in backups in the second half instead of playing your starters for essentially the whole game. I seriously do not understand this mindset in the slightest. You do understand that we played three running backs right? You do understand that our third string QB did not attempt a single pass the entire second half right? You do understand that for the overwhelming majority of the second half (I'm talking outside of maybe 3 plays) we ran straight inside hand offs the entire second half. Literally the entire second half. The Montee Ball touchdown off the Martinez interception was a straightforward inside hand off. The Ball 50 yarder was an inside hand off and the James White TD was the exact same play. So you're primary gripe has to do with the idea that we sent Melvin Gordon into motion on those two big TDs. Really? You're upset that we sent someone into motion? This coming from someone upset about the penalty called on Kenny Bell's block (which I had no problem with) but sending someone into motion is out of bounds? Honestly, Montee Ball played three snaps in the fourth quarter (7 total in the entire second half) and they went for a grand total of 7 yards. And as for not taking out starters, that's just patently untrue. By the end of the game we were playing Jake Keefer at defensive tackle, who is a 250 lbs. converted linebacker. I know this view doesn't span across the entire Nebraska fan base, but this is just silly.
  2. you do realize that you rushed the field when you beat us last season right? I always love holier than tho fans, especially when they come from ohio.
  3. Exactly. If anything we have more to gripe about. There were a few sh**ty spots that benefited them and that spot screwup with 1:26 left saved them time which could have been a big issue in the game. And I don't care what anyone says, Enunwa caught that ball. They could have at least reviewed it for Christ's sake. The only thing I saw that was missed was a small hold on Abdullah's long kickoff return and I'm not sure if I would have called it either. First, I don't think it's that big of an issue among Wisconsin fans or at least on the boards. It was mentioned in a list of several takeways of the game that was predominately about Wisconsin and what they did, and did not do. And like I have said earlier in one of the two posts I made in the in-game thread, I don't think any of the calls or no-calls had a big impact on the game. As far as the calls that people could take issue with, there were several holding penalties that were not made, and yeah sure you can say everyone holds it can't be called every time, but some were pretty blatant. If you rewatch the Taylor Martinez rushing TD, just watch your right tackle. i would rather just watch t-mart rushing for a touchdown. yeah that's cool too. I'm not being confrontational. Someone asked what people could complain about when it came to calls...

  5. It's just decompression. If you don't run into an angry badger fan these days then you're just running into someone that isn't passionate or doesn't care about badger football. It stems from the bitterness of losing a lot of coaches to one particular program, having the worst offensive line in a decade, having one functioning wide receiver, bad coaching hires, bad coaching mistakes, playing QB roulette with two relatively mediocre players, et. al. As far as bad calls, every team is going to feel hard done by one call or another. I don't they mattered too much in this game, but there were some that were missed.
  6. I am not as low on Beck as a lot of guys. The reason to run those QB option reads early is to wear down those LBs early so in the late 3rd and early 4th quarter we can run the ball downhill for large chunks of yards. Which worked tonight. I think it is fair to say Wisconsin's defense was exhausted. yes I would normally agree with you, but I don't think that was a derivative of the play calling in the first half. We just have severe depth issues on the defensive line. We were without our starting defensive ends tonight and we lost our second best defensive tackle before the season due to strokes. As a result we weren't rotating our defensive line as frequently and when we were, we were playing with 3rd and 4th stringers, including a DT that literally weighs 250 and went from an ILB, to a DE, to a DT, in the span of about a month. I just think my biggest question with your OC, and why I even posted in the first place, was how he could watch the game film of our previous games this season, and not devise a game plan that was pass heavy. Like they said on the broadcast, we don't even play the nickel and opt to leave in our linebackers in coverage because our secondary is so bad. I mean we gave up 265 passing yards to Northern Iowa and 259 passing yards to UTEP.
  7. First off congrats on the win, you were definitely the better team and if someone would have told me before the game that we'd lose by 3 with a chance to win I would have died laughing. This isn't to flame, but what's the deal with your offensive coordinator? Are you guys generally happy with him or is it just a feeling of being stuck with him, because I thought his offensive gameplan in the first half and midway through the third was absolutely terrible. You literally can pass on us at will. Our defensive backs sit 10 yards off the receivers and we didn't even bother lining up against your two and three bunch sets, but you guys just went with QB option reads which played right into the hands of our linebackers. Again, this isn't to flame I'm just genuinely interested in what the general feeling is in regards to your OC.
  8. eh I highly doubt it. Barry Alvarez is pretty resistant to that sort of treatment and is pretty adamant about not changing up our look. It took a long while until UW players were allowed to even wear gloves with the motion W on them for example. We subtly altered our Rose Bowl uniforms last year by using a sublimated rose pattern in our numbers and helmet decal, but that's about as far as he'd like to go. It's not impossible, but i just don't think it'll happen.
  9. I mean it's definitely real. There's no way someone could fake that unless they have both the editing skill and money to create such a convincing fake. And it's exactly like the Michigan and Texas A&M packages that Adidas has already revealed. As for the other site, I'm not sure to which you're referring. I saw it on the Chris Creamer logo forum. If you're talking about the Nebraska scout forum, than that was just me posting the same thing that I posted above.
  10. Hey I saw this and thought I'd post it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYkIpx0D-dU&feature=youtu.be
