  1. Old news, but thought I would update the profile with the info: The future of one key Husker appears hazy. What’s known for sure is that defensive end Avery Moss will not be available for Nebraska in the bowl game. Moss and linebacker Jared Afalava were on the short list of Huskers who did not travel to the Gator Bowl, Bo Pelini confirmed after Friday's first practice on site. The Husker head coach said Moss is at home due to "a personal issue back in Arizona." Per Husker Extra
  2. Afalava, meanwhile, joins walk-on receivers Richard Wynne and Ishmail Jackson as those who did not travel for violating team rules. Pelini did not specify beyond that. Per Husker Extra
  3. Or Maybe not... Afalava, meanwhile, joins walk-on receivers Richard Wynne and Ishmail Jackson as those who did not travel for violating team rules. Pelini did not specify beyond that. Per husker Extra...
  4. Listed on ESPN as USC commit as well
  5. Waz had a 84 int returned for a TD, but it was negated for questionable excessive celebration penalty...was a bad call IMO.
  6. Saw him play last night...was all over the field...they lost in the first round of the playoffs, but I think that was more do to them losing their starting QB, not the defensive effort. On a side note...Mosley was not thrown at most the night...they did throw a swing pass to his side, he had a good break to the ball carrier, but got jukes out of his shoes and they scored, other than that, he was like glue on his guys...they lost 17-10.
  7. He shows on the 105 roster on Huskers.com as well...very cool...seems like a good kid
  8. It's an old interview...it's already been addressed and posted earlier in this profile...
  9. Ron Brown confirmed Wednesday that the plan for now is to redshirt true freshman running back Adam Taylor. The decision ultimately belonged to Taylor, who is part of a seemingly loaded backfield of Ameer Abdullah, Imani Cross, fellow true freshman Terrell Newby and walk-on King Frazier. "There was a good chance I would have just played Adam if he had wanted to play. He's good enough to play. That's not the issue," said Brown, NU's running backs coach. "The issue is that it was his request. I wanted to consider that and honor him. If we absolutely need him right now, we'll ask him to pull the redshirt." The 6-foot-2, 200-pound back from Katy, Texas, sounds like a good option to have in an emergency. “I’ve been really impressed with his straight-away speed," Brown said. "I knew he was fast, but I didn’t know he was that fast. And he’s not only fast, he’ll put a dent in you.”
  10. REDSHIRT POSSIBLE FOR RUNNING BACK: While Terrell Newby will certainly play this season, another true freshman running back, Adam Taylor, is contemplating a redshirt, his position coach said. A decision isn’t imminent. “I’m kind of leaving it up to him and his family,” Nebraska running backs coach Ron Brown said. “I know one thing: It’s possible that we may need him for the season. It’s a long season, and it’s the toughest run defense conference in the country. We’ll see what happens.”
  11. Scout went from 2* NR to a 2* - #64 TE Now he is a 3* - #60
  12. By the way, with the new Scout rankings, every commit now are :star recruits. Got to think a few will get another bump during their senior year to hit :star :star. Freedom is still a two star No...he is a 3*...I will post in his thread
  13. The 4 recruits that got bumps moved us from a ranking of 55 to a ranking of 52...on Scout anyway. FWIW
  14. Two star rating per Scout. Does Scout have an ax to grind with Nebraska? Their ratings seem lower for our recruits than other services this year. They were also significantly higher than anyone else last year. I think it's just the variability that goes along with certain kids. Especially when you get these "under the radar" recruits who aren't household names to the recruiting services, there tends to be pretty big differences. Just wait for the bigger programs to come in now that they see we've found something... then the stars will go up. Scout bumped to 3*- #101 RB
  15. Scout went from 2* NR to a 2* - #64 TE
  16. For the star watchers...Scout bumped him to 3*- 103 CB
  17. @ccarter_11: @adam_taylor28 strongest person I know, dude benches 550 and can barely squat 250 😂😂 http://t.co/NH4FzetQTQ
  18. Isn't that where Chase Rome ended up? Yep
  19. @Sean_Callahan: Former #Husker DE Ernest Suttles has transferred to Memphis after Miami denied his transfer this week.
  20. I can't remember where he was for sure, but I think he got a bump on ESPN...I want to say he was rated a low 3*, but now he is 3* - 79 ranking as the #11 TE-Y. I could be wrong, but I could swear he wasn't this high before?
  21. I'm not familiar with the radio station he was on, but it sounded like whomever was doing the interview was Kansas based... I believe that the kid loves his town and his state and out of respect and just being the kind of kid he sounds like, he was probably just shooting some good will to those listeners. I agree/hope that he is coming to NU...I think in the end he knows what is best for his interests and he knows his mom would want what is best for him as well.
  22. This was retweeted by Newell @jmerz05: Judging by the ESPN 100.7 radio show, my guess is @p_newell may be attending college in Kansas....
  23. Matt Davison @Matt_Davison A.J. Natter is "all business" according to some. Could provide depth at Rush End. He and Gregory make that group much better...now.
