  1. Oh, I completely agree there is a hypocrisy within evangelical Christian voters. My post though was specifically about what I’m hearing in my Catholic Church on Sunday’s. What im saying is there is a hypocrisy among catholic trump voters and what I heard last Sunday in church.
  2. That was horrible. We have no physicality and that leads to be horrible at rebounding. pathetic.
  3. Well....even if I remembered his name I wouldn’t put it on a public board without his concent. Kind of a reduculous question that only indicates that you don’t believe me. First if all, I have never sat in mass with a priest ranting about politics. So, no...the sermon was not all specifically about the refugees on the southern border. What was talked about was how we as Christians are called to be compassionate people and not just towards other Catholics and Christians, but to everyone. At that point, he gave examples which included people in need like refugees. Contrary to popular belief, priests don’t spend their whole time ranting about politics and condemning everyone except fetuses.
  4. Sure, it stinks that they haven’t been up to 80s and 90s par. Weve had some bad O lines. But, im of the opinion that we’ve had some lines that aren’t as bad as some fans like to think...at least as far as talent. We’ve had some horrific schemes when it comes to helping your O line succeed. Riley’s was probably the worst. It literally set them up to fail. Bo’s offense made the o line look bad. For instance, people would complain that the RB was having to avoid tacklers in the back field, well...that scheme always had one unblocked defender and the QB and RB had the job to avoid him. That’s not the O line’s fault. We we have had some lines where the talent was there but our S&C program stunk. Luckly now, we have a scheme that helps the o line and a good S&C program.
  5. OK....gotta ask. How shocked are you that a catholic school is supporting a pro life stance?
  6. I wouldn't be worried about this game if it were in Lincoln. But, road conference games are always a lot tougher. We should take care of business. But, here's to hoping we don't have a bad night.
  7. The last two posts have me being very optimistic about this one. I think he wants to come here and as long as everything goes as planned on his visit....it's a done deal. And, we all know he's going to love his visit. It's possible that KU and KSU backed off because he showed so much love for the Huskers. FYI......this post is dripping with speculation on my part.
  8. Really??? I didn't go to Catholic school. But, I've heard talks from several Priests talking about abortion being wrong but we also need to have compassion for the mother.
  9. This Sunday. To be more specific, we had a guest retired priest this Sunday. His talk was very good. He spoke about how we need to really contemplate our own spirituality and how it pertains to how we conduct our lives as compassionate people towards others. It really hit home with how I feel about my own spirituality.
  10. This is bad. But, just as bad was the no call on the defender who hit Mahome's shoulder pads and lightly grazed his face mask (which I thought the no call was correct)......only to late in the game have Brady be hit on the shoulder pads with no touching of the face mask....FLAG. I believe that flag kept a drive alive that ultimately helped decide the game. I don't agree with a lot fo the Tom Brady hate I hear. But.....dang....the refs protect him from the slightest bit of contact when there have been numerous examples of them not doing the same thing to other QBs.
  11. Can you imagine if Suh would throw Brady in the Super Bowl like he was a Texas QB? The guy would be banned from the NFL for life.....but....damn, that would be going out on a high note.
  12. I have no problem with this at a Catholic school. Not sure why you do.
  13. I had no idea. This is the first time I think I've ever heard that prepping became popular because of Obama. I've heard about prepping long before he was in office. What about Obama do you think caused that?
  14. It is sad. But, when you have a President (who the hat indicates you support) also being heavily supported by people in the KKK and Neo Nazis while also wearing that hat, it's pretty easy to see why people from groups the KKK and NN hate would feel that way. Don't you think?
  15. Ok. I still don't remember any of this specifically pertaining to the Obama administration....like the rumors about the land in Montana. But, there have been preppers around for long before Obama was in office. I'm also not quite seeing how anything preppers were doing has anything to do with Obama....or, are you saying it was TRUE that Obama had purchased land in Montana to imprison the religious right?
  16. I could argue for either player. Jordan is closer so we would be building more of a base in a neighboring state and it's possible the coaches really believe he's a better player. Parker probably has been playing against tougher competition and is from a recruiting hotbed we would like to get more players out of. It'll be interesting to see who we end up with (assuming we end up with one of them).
  17. I'm not sure that I remember anything about "preppers". Can you please explain how you view the divide in America during the Obama years? I would agree there were tensions. I'm interested in your view of them.
  18. I will go back to saying that the people who truly are at fault here are the Black Israelites. I think we all agree to that. That said, I have been on the national mall probably 8-10 times in my life. I know things like this happen. But, it's not something that happens "every day". In fact, I know it's a small sample size, but I've never witnessed anything like this. There's something about all of this, from the initial incident to the over reaction to the initial video that I keep going back to and thinking it's just another example of the heightened emotions and anxiety in America ever since Trump took office.
  19. Unless, after Pola-Gates signed, DJ was only going to have a spot here if other major prospects didn't want in. Now, we're close enough to signing day and out of the quiet period so the staff is feeling more comfortable with other top prospects they are after.....so the told DJ there probably wouldn't be a spot for him here. If the others prospects didn't want in, then they would have taken DJ.
  20. Do you think they would rather have him than Parker?
  21. Not sure we were really after him anymore once Pola-Gates committed.
  22. Being that we are going to take 3-4 more players, you could lump number 1 through 4all together. 5 through 7 are backups for 1 through 4. I still question if I would want Njoku over Houston. But....I'll say, I'll be happy with either one of them.
  23. I'm not a huge NFL guy and don't really have a team I root for every year. So, to an extent, I agree. But, I'm just tired of them and ready to see someone else in the SB and winning it. I was really rooting for the Chiefs because I love watching their offense with Mahomes.
