  1. Google search: Honest Candidate for 2016You will get zero results...ha Hmmm...true. However, what I find interesting about this is that I constantly hear his followers claiming the fact he tells the truth as the reason they are voting for him. And, they are extremely emotional about it. If you never question content, how will you know if it contains a lie? Trump supporters are largely mindless followers. Would that make the followers of every other candidate the same thing? I see something very different in Trump followers than other candidates. You have a candidate that hasn't said squat about what he is going to do as President and followers that almost worship the guy because they think he hasn't promoted violence and is telling them the truth. It has been shown unequivocally that both of those things are flat out false and every time these people are shown that, they love the guy even more. It flat out defies logic.

  4. I have criticized the media in this country many times and still do. I still believe the media is more dangerous in how they do business than any one person in Washington. That's why I found this article very interesting. The Rise of Trump Shows the Danger and Sham of Compelled Journalistic “Neutrality” I do believe the media has played a major part in the rise of Trump but not necessarily the way the author of this article states. I do believe the media has played a major part in the rise of Trump. But, for different reasons. He claims that the problem is that corporate media is forced to stay neutral therefore they won't criticize appropriately political candidates and their actions. I happen to believe it is just the opposite. Our problem is that most of our media is bought and paid for by political parties therefore they will overly criticize and make up stories or promote made up stories about the other side while doing nothing but promoting and basically being an infomercial for the party that they support. Then, people just sit and watch or listen to the media that agrees with them and the extremes become more and more extreme.
  5. How do his followers still think he "tells the truth" even when he is constantly caught in lies? LINK He can't even say the simplest things without lying.
  6. Interesting article on exit polls: Exit polls suggest plenty of appetite for a third-party alternative to Donald Trump
  7. I mean, how on *earth* do you know she was irresponsible? Even for people who are, how often is that a product of either poor or misdirected sex ed, or lack of access (or stigma about using) contraceptives? There's a frankly ridiculous characterization of her in the OP's article which is unsurprising, given the source. The reactions elicited are fully intended. In her own words, though, her advocacy is: (More of her own words) Once maybe. Twice??? Naaaa
  8. This seems like the typical kid that wants to play close to home. Good luck to him.
  9. Of course you meant a fetus. A BABY is one who has already been born. I realize such wording helps the picture that you are trying to paint but it is incorrect nonetheless. No
  10. If I were so irresponsible with money that I spent so much that I needed to take bankruptcy twice so that I could go on living s happy life, I wouldn't later wear a short around advertising the fact.
  11. My comment came from the position of trying to assume I really don't care if some one has an abortion as far as killing a baby. I still get the same reaction. This lady is proud of the fact that not once but twice she and her partner ( yes he is a part of this) were so irresponsible that this was required for her to have a fulfilling life. She is so proud of it that she is going to advertise it on her clothing. That is just weirdly odd to me.
  12. Missouri isn't leaving the SEC. You have to look at good programs that are in conferences that they aren't happy with. That would be Kansas, OU, Texas If we are going in that direction, I want Kansas and OU. I want absolutely nothing to do with Texas in our conference.
  13. That's just gross and wrong on so many levels.
  14. I would be absolutely shocked if a guy like this is a back up plan when OT is so hard to recruit anyway and I'm guessing we will take at least 5-6 O linemen in this class. (Possibly even 7-8 O linemen)
  15. There will always be some less powerful conferences. There is no way Div 1 sports is going to get down to 72 teams.
  16. Hold on...are you saying that sometimes people act differently in different situations? That perhaps sometimes people are playing a bit of a part to get a reaction?I'm not playing a part when I call him an idiot and I'm not asking for anyone's vote to become President of the US and represent the entire country. Saying that, if I offended all of the low IQ people of the world by associating them somehow with Trump....I greatly apologize. Your attempt at whatever you are trying to accomplish is an epic fail. EDIT: Actually, I probably was wrong for calling him an idiot. I actually think he must be pretty smart. How else could someone be the person he is where he changes what he says constantly and puts himself out to the public in the manner he has and so many people fall all over him... Thank you for pointing out my error. And that was exactly my point! He is playing a part so that he can accomplish his goal. He is saying what he thinks he needs to say. I did not mean that you were playing a part. I was talking about Trump. His actions are probably pretty calculated and it seems to be working. So no, I was not calling you out or anything like that. With that said...he might not be playing a part...I could be totally wrong. OK...sorry if I got defensive. So, if you are correct, you have a group of people who like him because he says exactly what's on his mind and they love that because they are tired of politicians who always try to say the right things to get our votes...but....meanwhile, he is just playing an act to garner their votes.

  18. Are you seriously trying to equate a message on a football message board with comments made in public speeches by somebody running for public office?
  19. I didn't realize people on here were trying to be the leader of the free world where he will be required to work with foreign leaders and people who don't agree with him.
  20. So, you are claiming that a lot of his supporters are supporting him based on his attitude and willingness to say whatever he wants no matter if it's racist, sexist, rude or promotes violence. I did find this article interesting. LINK It implies that there is a possibility that a significant number of voters are previously registered as Democrats and switching at the Primaries so they can vote for Trump. Now, they won't know for sure until after the November election. But, it's possible. This baffles me even more. If true, these people have supported a party that constantly hammers political correctness and being inclusive to everyone and now all of a sudden they are switching to the most non-politically correct and non inclusive candidate in modern time? They could be doing it to put a candidate on the ticket they know can not win. And like teach said there's something refreshing about him not being pc. I was attracted to it. Then I realized there is nothing more behind the words and he doesn't understand the real world and diplomacy. I have thought about this and that would make things very very interesting come November.
  21. So, when asked...."How will you make foreign leaders do what you want", they are perfectly fine with the answer...."Because I will tell them to". OoooooK.

He speaks his mind out in the open...not behind closed doors. I suppose that is refreshing to a lot of people. I don't know...but I do know that not every voter needs everything laid out for them. Please explain the bolded part.

  24. I think we will see a very different team game one than we did last year game one. There is going to be a very different level of confidence in both the players and coaching staff as to what they are going to do and how they are going to do it. Yes, mistakes will still be made. This team isn't perfect. If we don't have at least 8 to 9 wins this next year I will be very disappointed. I really think their ceiling is higher than that though but that is dictated partly with things outside their control like injuries. I personally think that there are very very few teams that win 10 or more games without a big part of luck involved. Iowa last year is a prime example of that. So, I think we should be able to get to 8-9 wins. With some luck on our side we could get higher. How happy or excited I am about whatever the results are is largely based on things not shown in the record. What is the attitude round the program? Are the players bought in and playing hard for the coaches? Did the team improve by the end of the year again. Is recruiting going well....etc.
