It might have something to do with whatever injury he had that in his words slowed down his senior season. there is another thread about who would be the surprise player out of this years signing class, well I think this guy will be it. When you watch him he does a great job of wrapping up, and getting his head across when tackling. If he can grasp Bo's defense mentally then he could see playing time quicker than most probably figure a walk-on would. Because Providence is a Catholic School they play lots of other Catholic schools in Chiacgo. I believe they are in the 6A playoffs almost every year.(8 classes) But because they play other catholic teams they play alot of 5,6,7,8A class teams. High competition level.

Being from Illinois and following HS football in the state New Lenox Providence is a MAJOR powerhouse in Chicago area! An 80+% winning percentage and has made 11 state championchip games in the last 20 years or close to it.... Very well coached and very good fundamentals. As deep as our LB corp it still wouldnt suprise me if he earns a scholly soon! I think we got ourselves a really good walk on that is going to compete every chance he gets! Cross was a true freshman this year. Let Cross get with S&C before you rule him out. I know we are excited to see Newby and Taylor but if Cross gets a 1/2 a step faster or quicker in the offseason its going to be tough not to hand the ball off to him. Rgardless he will always get carries because he is our short down back and in the second half of conference games you bring him in as the closer. Very tough to tackle when defenses are tired and Imani Cross comes in fresh!

Marcus you are being sold if you actually think going to Kentucky is a better choice than going to Nebraska! I would understand if you played basketball but seriously this is almost laughable! I hope he does go on his UK visit and the entire time he will be there he should be thinking and comparing it to his Nebraska visit. You have been committed for nearly an entire year and with 3 weeks left UK calls you up.
