  1. bullsh#t. Our schedule sucks. And we're the only team with a sched loaded with cupcakes. If bo cant get more than 10 wins this year................... Haha, Thanks for the laugh Count!
  2. Lets see, you said you used my logic, which you also state that its legal in some states. Now lets go back to your comparison while "using" my logic... which state is it legal to buy a 10 year old alcohol? #kthanks Rush to judgment? You don't have to be there to know what happened. Someone else steal the bike? Maybe it wasn't Tolbert smoking weed? Nope, both did what was stated and they even stated it. Maybe that was setup too? Come on man, take your blinders off, lay off the police.
  3. I have a very good friend who was a starter that season, and there was absolutely no excitement from anyone on that team for that game. The coaches tried and tried to get this team ready, but facing a team you already throttled, our players felt it was a slap in the face from whoever decided the bowl games. This isn't exactly verbatim of what was said to me after the game, but close to it. It was most definitely a bummer for our fans to lose that, but I wasn't even excited about that game.
  4. Your comparisons are horrible dude. Frustrated with the police for putting a scare tactic with stealing bikes? Kids keep hearing and falling for bait bikes, its going to put a fear in these kids to do it again. Not only just kids, anyone. Homeless guy walking through the campus, coming across a bike. Your missing what they are doing, turning it into a negative when all it is, is a positive. You call it "entrapment", I call it a good service to help protect my belongings. I should have to be scared of my sh#t getting stolen, nor should you, or anyone. I lost respect for this kid, just like Bando. Doesn't mean I don't want the best for them, but you can't be upset with ANYONE, besides these boneheads. Back to your comparison. You bring up buying a 10 YEAR old alcohol. You fail to realize Tolbert is an ADULT, making adult decisions for himself. Marijuana is illegal, and as long as its illegal, it shouldn't be tolerated. The difference between his and Joseph's deal, Tolbert isn't hurting anyone, not even himself. Joseph is STEALING people's sh#t. Neither are right, I am just not as upset about one as much as I am the other.
  5. We beat Fresno by 2 scores Miami, I don't see a reason why we don't beat them by at least 7 MSU, we lose? I wouldn't bet that game, as we never know with them Northwestern, always a close game, but no Kain Colter Wisconsin, wouldn't bet that one lol. Iowa, as of right now, their defense is in serious question. We win IMO.
  6. I think I'm the only one who has said he has a problem with the trap system around campus. And to answer your question, No... The police should definitely investigate and stop theft. However, (personally) I don't agree with trapping and "setting up" college students is the right thing to do. By putting bait bikes around campus it is placing unnecessary temptations for the kids. He shouldn't have taken it but if no bait is there, there is no theft. Let me ask you a question... have you ever had anything stolen from you? I have. I have had a $3000 stereo system stolen out of my vehicle, and when I was younger, I had my $400 Haro stolen from in ffront of my house. 13 years old, I payed for that bike BY MYSELF with a paper route. Its NOT a great feeling knowing something you worked for and payed for was taken from you. Your being serious? "it is placing unnecessary temptations for the kids", if it wasn't the bait bike, it was some other innocent person's bike being taken. Is this you Bando? Joseph? I find a kid smoking marijuana more "acceptable" than some stupid thief who likes to take sh#t from hard working people. Yup had stuff stolen from me. Stuff I even *paid* for. You're making assumptions that the guy was going to steal a bike without question. None of us were there so who's to say that it was only bike on the rack. It was still a wrong move on his part but it makes me wonder whether he would have done it if he wasn't tempted. What's that saying about your trust in people that you assume Joseph would take someone else's bike had the bait bike not been there? You find a kid who smokes drugs more acceptable than someone who takes a bike? I'm sorry you feel that way. Didn't the little thief take the bike without question? Who gives a f#*k if it was or wasn't the only bike? ITS NOT HIS, HE SHOULDN'T TOUCH IT. Simple as that, and I can't believe there are people who think this is even the slightest big OKAY. As far as me thinking some kid smoking marijuana is more okay that stealing... let me remind you of this... one is legal in some states and soon to be all, while the other ISN'T AND WON'T BE LEGAL EVERRRRR!

  8. Its Tingelhoff I know because he's family lol
  9. So did Monte Ball and Gordon 9 carries for 216 yards... Something I will never forget.
  10. I will take a beer and some Tylenol please?
  11. http://www.nps.gov/moru/historyculture/why-these-four.htm Why they are on the Rushmore, is BECAUSE of what they did in office.
  12. Nowhere did I state he wasn't a good player. All I am saying, is he is not a top 5-10 QB to play for Nebraska. Could he have been? We don't know, because he NEVER got that chance, rather he was a GREAT fill in for Armstrong. The kid played with a broken rib and won us games, when we were clearly not favorited. His heart, determination and kindness is NOT being questioned or disgraced.
  13. Brook is the best QB to EVER play for Nebraska!!!! There, now lets f'ing move on. You obviously don't know why that statue was made, what the meaning of the Mt Rushmore is for, or anything, so this discussion is pointless.
  14. Just not seeing enough on the field totals to justify it. Yes, everyone has made it quite clear he didnt play enough games or break enough records. Whats funny is Brook is already immortalized in statue form yet its being debated if hes worthy of a the same honor. Your way off subject and don't even understand what is being said. The REASON Brook is in that statue, is BECAUSE of his death! A MEMORIAL of a GREAT man. He ISN'T the one of the most elite QB's to play at Nebraska. This is what the Mt Rushmore is about. Do you understand that yet?
  15. Ummm what are you talking about? Those presidents were put on there because of what they did IN the office, not out of the office. Was their golf game so good out of the office they ranked over someone who did better in the office? Do you know what the Mt Rushmore is? Its the BEST PLAYERS of all time! Can you REALLY say that Berringer was one of the TOP 5 players of all time in Husker history? First thing that puts you on that list IS your stats and what you have accomplished on the field. If they had off the field issues, it might keep them off the list (IE Lawrence Phillips for the RB Rushmore). But by your standards, Rex Burkhead should be on the Mt Rushmore as well, if it were a RB selection? Don't get me wrong, I understand what your saying about Berringer, and what he has done. I agree that he is an amazing person. Quite possibly a better person than you or myself could ever be, but there are other circumstances that I think that are being accounted for to put him on this list. That is all I am saying. There are at least 8 QB's who I would rank above Brook, AS A PLAYER, not as a person.
  16. Football season can be here any day now!

  17. I don't believe its nonsense at all. Sure he was a big part, but he wasn't the only part. I would say that Lawrence Phillips had more of an impact on our title run in 1994, and Tommy was our workhorse in '95. Brook was a huge part as well, but the only reason ANYONE had the success they did, was because of our OL. Matt Turman looked like a pro back there.
  18. As for me, Tommy Frazier Jerry Tagge Turner Gill Steve Taylor/Eric Crouch Honorable Mentions: Zac Taylor and Taylor Martinez
  19. As both really. QBs at Nebraska are judged mostly by their on field play but also are critiqued on their off field accolades. Berringer was instrumental to a dynasty run and was a model student athlete. Id say thats a pretty good resume. Not to be rude, but I guarantee most people wouldn't know what Brooke did off the field, if it wasn't due to his death and all the stories that came about afterward. QB's are judged by what they do ON the field, not off, and its always been that way and always will be that way. You think if Ron Kellogg III was to go out and have all the off the field acolades that Brooke had, he would even be considered to be an honorable mention? No way. Now if a QB is going to be like a Lawrence Phillips, then sure, he will be judged by his off the field stuff. He had a short run here, while having being a WONDERFUL person off the field/on the sidelines, but honorable mention would only be because of his death. Had he played for more than one whole season as a starter, then I would agree. Please don't think I am out to "get" Berringer. I cried over his death and I loved watching him play. I was still in grade school at that time, and I admire what he has done here, while giving this program a great image.
