Sleeping giant, no way we are not nearly good enough on the O line. i also feel we lack the caliber of players to be considered a giant. We are an average team in a weak league right now. If we could eliminate errors we would be a good team in a weak league. Take an honest look at our personel, can you name anyone who you would say is a lock for the NFL?

Does Martinez make some bad decisions, YES, but you saw last week what we would be without him. We would be Michigan.

Is there anyone who thinks that Papuchis is anything more than the D-coordinator in name only, sure looks to me like Pelini is still making the defensive calls.

Every OC appears to outsmart themselves from time to time, they see something on tape they think they can exploit, they work on a way to exploit it in practice then when the game comes they come out pounding the ball looking good and that moment comes up where they say ok our play will work. When it works they look like a genius when it doesn't and now it's second and 10 and the offense is off schedule everyone screams. I think Beck is a bit handcuffed in the red zone because our offensive line is so weak. If a change needs to be made it's in firing Barney Cotton our line has not been anywhere close to good since he has been the coach.

The facts are we have more penalties than our opponents, that comes from coaching, either the technique you teach, the inability to adjust to the officiating, or you let them get away with it in practice. either way it's a coaching issue. We are on our third db coach in 5 yrs. but that's another issue.

The problem is not the officials the problem is the coaching.

New to the board but here is what I learned: Defense looks great against a team who has lost 65% of their offense and replaces it with a freshman who has 1 career completion. I learned that we still have way too many penalties, a Pelini trademark, I think 8 major penalties last night Too many giveaways I learned we still need a new offensive line coach I know we can't control Robinson getting hurt, but beating UM without him is probably not a great accomplishment. Just think about how OSU looks without Miller or us without Martinez
