  1. But, that's not what you said. You emphatically said it's not a rumor and that it is what happened and then when I questioned you on that you implied that you know exactly what happened and I need to stop believing everyone else. In fact, I took your information with a HUGE grain of salt and you implied that I should believe it no matter what. Where did I imply that it was the end all for this topic? I didn't at all. I said this is what happened. I guess I will spell it out more clearly from now on? Could the info be wrong? Maybe but I don't believe it to be. The kid busted his backside to get to NU. He wanted to be a husker very badly. Zoogies gave the best break down of this earlier in regards to what it means and how to possibly interprete how things may have gone down. You need to stop assuming what I "imply" perhaps you are simply wanting that to be what I imply or perhaps I'm not coming acros clearly enough. Either way we have wasted enough time on this already
  2. Or a person could take things with a grain of salt. When a person says hey this is what I was told went down. Another poster has no reason to say "yada yada yada" you weren't there you don't know. Does that really make a person want to share any tidbit they get from a player or booster or recruit? Take the info FWIW and leave it at that.
  3. 3. Coach told me I was going to get to carry the ball a lot this game and instead decided not to play me. This happened last week too. How can I trust my coach? How do I know what he is saying is true? We all know Braylon isn't Einstein from all accounts. Is it really best to jerk him around from RB to CB to RB to RB and WR? Holy cow talk about wasting an athlete. Heard got to a point he felt like he was being fed BS. He gave it his all while here and that is all we can ask of a kid. Best of luck to him regardless of where he goes.
  4. There have been a number of people at HuskerBoard over the years who know a player, trainer, coach's best friend, player's girlfriend, etc. who suddenly think they have a true insider's glimpse into the team. The reality is, there are probably a good dozen members here, right now, who have the same or closer connection to the team. It's best not to presume that *I* am the one with the knowledge. Lots of people "know" what's going on inside the locker room. Yet another salient point - you know Player X, and he tells you "what's going on" with the team. But you're getting Player X's opinion on the situation, and that opinion is going to be shared or disputed by other players. Knowing a player doesn't give you insight into any truths. It gives you an idea of one guy's opinion. It's nice that people know guys on the team, but it's important to remember that such relationships aren't unique, and what you learn from that relationship is often subjective. I will trust a players opinion over Sipple any single day of the week. No one here was in the room with Bo behind closed doors on here. The best we can do is get as close as possible. A player who happened to get extensive PT says that is what happened and I will believe that as he would have zero reason to make stuff up. He could of stuck up for the coach that got him on the field but instead said that was what went down. Someone previously described this best when they said he was most likely promised carries and the flow of the game dictated that he not get them or that the coaches felt Abdullah was hot that game etc. Just giving a perspective from one of his teammates. I cannot do that from now on if that would be better? I have no problem with people telling what they are told as long as you understand the bolded and underlined portion of your post. Even if you know a player who knows the player involved, that is at best second hand information that can be skewed. And this is different from ANY other information on this board how? Not a single person on this board hangs out with Bo behind closed doors from what I can tell. If the player had told me other things that were sketch I would question anything he says a heckuva lot more. However he was spot on with many other things. As was mentioned before it was most likely a situation where he was told he was getting the rock, the flow of the game changed. This resulted in him not getting the rock.

  6. I think it is a rather slow release, very fluid though with great form.
  7. Time for you to stop believing any and everything that isn't published by Sipple I guess. Especially all recruiting updates. Bo is always spot on with what he says to like injuries. Always 100% honest Hey...I'm not the one who claims he "knows" something. From you response, I'm taking it that you really don't have first hand knowledge that this happened. Was I in the room when it was said? No, do I know someone who knows Heard? Yes
  8. They have the choice to say they are or aren't interested. They aren't going to be kicked off the team if they choose not to, or have their scholarship pulled. This isn't Alabama. So YES they do have the choice to stay, or move to a better suited position, that they will either excel better at, or have more playing time. Again, they are ASKED. They can say no, you know? Each player asked about their position change has stated (to a degree) "The coaches said I could have more playing time at XXXXX position and they thought I would do well there, so I said yes" ""Hey Nickens, you may have more opportunity at this other position than you do here; may be in your best interest to move, and if you don't, we are kicking you off the team" Basically what your saying if they don't have a choice. So the implication here would be if a player said no. "The coaches said I could have more playing time at XXXXXX (sic) position and they thought I would do well there. I really wasn't very interested in playing a lot am I'm not really too interested in playing well so I said no." Who is gonna say no? Yeah, the technically have a "choice" but I also have the choice not to go in to work obliterated drunk every day. Yeah it isn't a you pick it is more of a subtle if you want to have a chance to play you are switching positions. On another note how many players have you heard of that say no? That should sum up if it really is a choice or not
  9. Got to sit down with a Patron rep tonight and sample all the tequilas...I'm very chillaxed haha

  11. I have never heard Bo, or anyone on this staff tell anyone they would play, unless they were the in the #1 spot. Braylon was also having Hamstring issues last year, and that is why he was mainly limited on carries. Do you believe everything Bo tells the public? Do you believe every rumor that is said about the team such as...."he was told he would get the rock"? It isn't a rumor at all.
  12. I don't know what I think about this move. Part of me is scratching my head because I was under the impression that our youngsters were studs and ready to step in. Now we are moving a longtime OL player to the DT spot? Is Nickens that good at DT or are we still that thin at DT? Hopefully the Spring game clears this up a little bit
  13. Do you know what Heard was told by coaches regarding how much he would play etc? I'm gonna guess and say you do not. Braylon felt like he got the shaft because he never got the carries he should have. Ameer was beat up as the season progressed and we still rode him to death. Braylon should have got carries and didn't. It is too bad for all parties involved it worked out this way. First, you know Braylon was dinged up this year, too, right? Second, are you implying you can judge RB talent and the depth chart better than Ron Brown and Tim Beck? He wasn't dinged up like Ameer or Rex. I am not implying I can judge RB talent better than either. I am saying Braylon was told he would get the rock and then he sat and watched on Saturdays
  14. He has the extra gear in regards to speed and acceleration that only one other player on our roster has. He averaged what? 7+ ypc. Give me a zone read with Martinez and Heard all freaking day and twice on Sundays
  15. & why is that? The kid looks great on film and looks like he is willing to learn. Can't ask for better can you? Well you "could" ask for better. Luke has a decent ceiling and not a very low floor IMHO. Seems like a safe bet to be on the two deep his RS soph or RS Jr year

  17. Gotta be honest, this line is BS. He wanted to be here but either 1) didn't feel like he was going to see the field a lot, 2) didn't like the role the coaches wanted to put him in, or 3) didn't feel he was getting a fair shake. It is really a combination of all the above
  18. That is correct. The original thoughts were we were gonna take a couple big bodies. It now seems like we are set on Atewe or the new JUCO that has emerged. Leslee or something like that.
  19. Someone put duct tape over Hedley's mouth. Oh no u didn't
  20. Your exact words were "sounds like he got an ankle rolled on" a rolled ankle is more commonly known as a sprained ankle. All I am saying is mixed reviews coming from members of the team/staff/parents on if it is even an ankle and not up the leg a bit. We all know Bo likes to hide info as much as possible. You are making the leap to judgement. Rolled on ankle describes what the people were saying for what occurred I'm not making the leap to judgement for a specific injury. I'm smart enough to know when something like that occurs it can rang from a minor ankle ache to a full blown broken bone or Achilles tear. Again we don't know if it is even his ankle Ankle, knee, turf toe, hang nail, or whatever. I sure wish Braylon was still on-board and taking reps. Amen
  21. Someone get this kid a dufflebag of Benjamin's. the B1G wouldn't know what hit em
