  1. Suh - nobody dominated his opponents the way this guy did. Man among boys Glover - old enough to have seen this guy play and he was relentless. quick, strong, and you could bet that he was going to be a part of every important play Wistrom - the standard bearer for all DE's David - motor, smarts, work ethic Amukamara - can't think of anyone better at the DB position.
  2. We need Clark aboard! C'mon Bo....put the full court press on!
  3. In addition, there is no buzz surrounding recruits yet. When they start committing, we will see an uptick in interest/excitement
  4. He seems like a tweener to me...would have to put on a lot of weight in a short time to be a DT
  5. Love this guy's film! He runs and hits exactly like you would want to see out of your TE. Wants to deliver a blow on every play. Shows decent hands. Blocks well. Get him!
  6. What great player (let alone QB) isn't a product of their school's system. I wonder how this guy would feel if we said that Vince Young was a product of the Texas system and had great players on both sides of the ball. How about one of my favorite RB's of all time, Earl Campbell. You can't tell me he wasn't a product of the system. I think writers anoint anyone who doesn't become a successful NFL QB as a "system" QB in college. The fact is that the NFL game is miles different than College. The bottom line is that Tommie was one of the best leaders that College Football has ever had. Yes, he was surly and had a huge ego. But most ultra successful athletes are. This guy can go pound sand!
  7. this is one guy I want. Love the way he runs behind his pads. long strider in the open field. Kinda reminds me of Roger Craig, but with just a little less high knee action
  8. looks pretty good, but runs too upright. I would rather have Solomon Vault. He really runs behind his pads.
  9. so.....if the conference knew they were going to change the divisions, why would they give Maryland so much money for "travel" reasons?
  10. There is an opportunity out there with the new recruiting rules. I know Bo is not a fan of the changes, but he needs to take full advantage or fall behind. We need an aggressive recruiting staff to put together a comprehensive communication plan for all recruiting, and to coordinate recruiting for the coaches. The teams that are the best at this will have a leg up on most others. You will always have a few schools that can pick and choose (Bama, Texas, etc.) but there are a lot of great recruits out there for the rest!
  11. Stafford's going to be a good special times player with his hitting ability. So will Emart.
  12. really liked Bo's comment about realizing his mistake of not allowing the young kids to play more LY, and that he told all the recruits to get their butts ready to play.We are seeing the continued maturation of a good HC.
  13. I don't disagree with O'Hanlon's inclusion in this list, but it's funny to see after he was ripped to shreds - exceedingly harshly by some - early in the 2009 season. I never agreed with the grief he got, and I never respected the choice people made to rip on a player like that. O'Hanlon wasn't the greatest athlete to play in the secondary for Nebraska, but you won't find a kid with more heart, and you won't find a kid it meant more to throughout Nebraska's long and gloried past. History remembers O'Hanlon better today than when he was playing, and he deserves that. He did not deserve the vilification he received from some fans. I don't disagree with the bolded comments. However, these things by themselves don't qualify him as one of the best DB's. His performance would not rank him up there with the others mentioned. My personal choices would be Fabian, the Brown Boys, Bowman and Pat Fischer
  14. I don't see many Nebraska born/raised kids saying that.... I know I wouldn't.... I think you just made the case for why we need to be worried about LSU...
  15. What is the deal with Kentucky right now? They seem to be getting a lot of attention by recruits. Are they spending some of Caliparri's recruit money or something?
  16. Newby is good. So is Adam Taylor. I'd be surprised if they both redshirted. You forgot to add Cross in the Diamond Formation. With three outstanding backs already in the stable, it will be difficult for Newby or Taylor to get meaningful snaps. I, for one, hope we redshirt at least one of them. I hope we don't throw away a redshirt just to get Newby garbage minutes on the field
