  1. Ryker is #2 & he is terrible. He is a D2 trying to play D1.
  2. Staying Healthy! I know several are down on Tommy, but our backup QBs can not be a 3rd stringer on any other team in the Big Ten! 2 young QBs & a walk-on.
  3. I doubt it. Morgan has proved that he deserves to be on the field as a FR and due to the lack of field time, Hovey will be a head of him on the charts.
  4. I have a friend who played under TO. In order for a walk-on to be eligible for a scholarship, they had to be on the 2 deep depth chart. I have no clue if that was a TO, Athletic Dept. or Univ. rule. What we do know is that all of the above are going to play this year and all deserve it. Congrats for working hard and becoming part of the walk-on tradition at Nebraska!
  5. A lot different than Applebees! This goes back to days of the big 12. I went to a 1 game in Boulder & 1 in Columbia. It was the only way they could get their seats filled. The drunks were so bad at both locations, I never went back. I have no problem at a basketball game, but there are too many people at a football game. Last year, it took over 10 police officers to disburse a parking lot party that got out of hand. Plus my kids have had to put up with vulgar language from drunks at the games. There are plenty places to drink before & after the games.
  6. Webster keeps sticking around in my head with slight optimism but then once the actual season comes around he bashes all of that away... He was not ready to play as a freshman and it crushed his confidence. I hope to see good improvement coming into his JR. year.
  7. He is having fun on the coast. He will be a Husker!
  8. I count 14 commits currently so that means our number must be 20 or so, seems a bit low. Maybe he meant 2/3 full? Unless, he has some commitments that want to make wait before announcing.
  9. Jordon is a 2015 recruit & Devine is a 2016. Both are different style of running backs. Devine the 2015 recruit who is now on campus. Aphonso Thomas is our RB in the 2016 class. My bad!
  10. Jordon is a 2015 recruit & Devine is a 2016. Both are different style of running backs.
  11. Stoltenberg has been moved to DT. The Davis twins likely end up at DT although they may start at DE for depth. I agree, but for 1 year there are a handful here that could go inside or out. We have 6 DEs over the last 2 years and this year. We have 4 DT
  12. There is more of a worry about DT, after this year we might Valentine, Collins will be gone, leaving us with Maurice, Newell & the Davis Twins. At DE we have: FR - Neal, Alex Davis & the Twins RFR - Freedom, King & Stollenberg So - Natter Jr - McMullen
  13. I've seen him play and was not impressed as there team was not very good. I expect upper D1 talent to handle the lower class competition in Nebraska. As Stille's Ashland team beat Christian 55 - 7.
  14. I'm not an expert and I don't know anything, but I read that Bootle goes up against 4 and 5 star receiving talent in practice. That doesn't exist anywhere here. If you read the same article I did, the phrase was "top notch". According to Rivals, his HS has a three-star 2016 WR and a four-star and a three-star 2017 WR. So that's pretty good but not quite like you said. Yes, however still adds to his point, Bootle practices against 3 better WRs everyday then the state of Nebraska has to offer any CB in this state 1-2 times per year. Yep. I agree. He has more opportunity. Doesn't necessarily mean he's a better prospect. I don't know either way on this one. I liked Manchigiah but he didn't turn out to be as fast as I though he was a year ago. He was low 11s in the 100 at state this year so even though the 40 times *might* be close, Bootle would seem to be significantly faster. Well, that is kind of my point. If two prospects are nearly indistinguishable, why are we not recruiting the in-state one, if this staff wants better recruiting in Nebraska? Can not go by film. Football in Nebraska is nothing like Florida and you can not teach speed.
  15. We had 3, now we have 2. I don't recall the name of the 2nd one. Spencer Lindsay Lindsay is a walk-on, right?... My understanding was that it's just Drew Brown and that the transfer would count, but only if he played. I'm not sure. He is on academic scholarship, but if he plays in a game this year it will count toward our 85 the next year.
  16. Exactly! Will he jump if he gets a Florida or Miami offer?
  17. He has not been notice, because he has been playing behind some of the best DB in country. They said that he practices against 4 & 5 star WRs at his school. This is a great get.
  18. Jacobsen? I dont think so. We did technically add some height in some aspects. Ed Morrow= 6'7 Andrew White= 6'7 Jack McVeigh=6'7 Yes, Jacobsen. Don't knock him until you seen him play. Good BB IQ. Morrow is currently listed at 6'8" and Hammond should be better. KK was just TOO SLOW! I have seen his tape. I hope I am wrong, but i dont see him being effective this year. I think they will roll with a small lineup and he will be lucky to average more than 5-10 minutes a game. On Huskers.com Morrow is listed at 6'7. Hammond will have to be. Kye was too weak and nonathletic... amongst being too slow. He probably could have played Div 2 ball and been decent but never was going to see the court for NEB I thought I seen somewhere that Morrow was now 6'8". Must be hopping & dreaming that he would get taller!
