Would like to see Scheppenback in the 1 or 2 spot. 7 hits, 2 SO & 3 Walks. Both Darby & Reveles have as many if not more SO than hits.

We have QBs who won in HS. I will not pass judgement until after they play for a coach. Beck was a poor coordinator and poorer coach of youth.

Miles stated that our offensive woes are due to lack of scoring from PG and inside presents. I wish he would start Smith & Smith, in place of Parker & Rivers.

2 wins is the best i can see and that might be pushing it. This has just been one of those years... shots arent falling and the magic isnt there. If Shields and Petteway come back including some of the talent coming in(White, Morrow, Watson, Jacobsen) I think we have a chance to be a much deeper team but still have major concerns including the loss of Leslee and Moses. I think Petteway could play some point next year, but we need to rebound. Smith & Moses have not shown much this year, so Hammond, Morrow & Jacobsen can't hurt us too bad. Maybe Pitchford & Rivers can learn to box out during the off season.

He was kept because he had only been poisoned by Bo for 1 year and he is an up & coming recruiter with ties in the south.

Not what I said. I said that the players he has recruited are better per the recruiting outlets than the ones that he inherited. I know it means nothing until they hit the court, but in my opinion Miles is getting better talent to play for the Huskers than Doc. I am also very impressed with what he did in a short period of time with what he had. Be 100% honest, say last year they don't beat Wisconsin but they finish with basically the same record...now this year they are going to finish under 500... Would you still be impressed? Because you might be basing that impression off of a win at home over Wisconsin last year that probably got them in. Yes & I would have been happy with a NIT bid. I still want to go the DANCE every year and compete for the league championship once in awhile. I think this can me done under Miles. I liked Doc. but he could not get good recruits to even step in the door. I can not help it that I see improvement under Miles from a down year.

Which players are we talking about? Are Petteway and Shields some of the "players that were here"? Do we want to talk about where we'd be without them? How about Pitchford and Parker? Not all-conference caliber but apparently no one Miles has recruited in two full cycles has been able to unseat them. Tarin Smith, Tai Webster, Moses Abraham, Nick Fuller and Jake Hammond are all Miles players but none of them is exactly lighting the world on fire despite being given opportunities. Webster is a So., Fuller is RF & Smith & Hammond are F. We are not the program that can bring in several young players that can contribute right away. To make us competitive he had to get players with experience like Smith, Abraham, Petteway & Pitchford. We all knew Abraham was a reach, but we needed some size. I am just saying, we need to give Miles a chance to build a team that will be consistent. He got White from Kansas to come here and 2 4 start players. The future is bright. The biggest difference from last year is we got hot. I am disappointed when we lose, but I am not going to blame it on one person.

I hope his mom is ok. But it's a horrible excuse. C'mon. If its bothering you this bad and effecting the team. He needs to quit playing then. Don't use your mom has an scapegoat. Really, please look at the whole team instead of attaching Petteway every game! I have. Pitchford spends about 2 mins a game "near" the paint, rest of the game he spends it somewhere between Lincoln and Omaha. Webster looks like he only cares about doing good or winning, when he feels like it. Our bigs couldn't jump over an ant for a rebound. With all that being said, I blame TP for most of the issues. His shot selection at times is atroucious, which leads to turnivers and more stress on the D. if he makes two shots to start the game he will go Kobesque and start jacking shots. He can commit some of the dumbest fouls I've seen in a loooooong time. If not for miles benching him he could litterly foul out in the first half. Last year he played within his own game. This year I Ono what he's doing at times. Last year, we surprised teams and Pitchford was playing better. He is now the main focus of every defense. I am sure it is frustrating watching Benny & Webster throw up bricks on wide open shots. I do not blame him, as we would be lucky to score 30 a game without him. See and that is coaching! 3rd season in the conference...other coaches have your stuff figured out. Yes, but he had to use players that were already here. Give him a chance to move in his recruits and I do not mean as Fresh & Soph. We are not Kentucky, so we are not going to get all 5 star recruits.

I'm not as sure on this. Tarin Smith looks to be a solid contributor, but that's all Miles has "shown" so far. The incoming class looks good but let's make sure they turn out before we get too far down this road. Hammond, Webster, Fuller and Hawkins haven't turned out much. Recruit is what I was saying, the players you mentioned are 3 star recruits. Watson, Morrow & White are all 4 star recruits. He is starting to get better talent to Nebraska.

Don't feel like going back through reading your comments, but do you really not think Miles will get bit done here in the long haul? I guess it depends on what you think is "getting it done", what do you mean by that? Coming out with twenty wins on a consistent basis. And looking competitive in our losses. No..he can't get that done...not consistent 20 win seasons. That is asking a lot and probably asking for close to 10 Big Ten wins a year. I think he can have them as a consistent 16-18 win team... I also think that the current recruiting class he has coming in will be the best one that he ever signs at NU...which is not a bad thing...they will probably end up ranked in the top 45 or so, when the late commits for other schools all sign. That is just my opinion and I am wrong all the time. I just think that he is going up against a lot of coaches that have similar coaching ability to him (or way better) that also have better recruited classes. The big difference is that these coaches have players and Miles had to go to transfers & JUCO to compete right away. Miles has shown that he can recruit good HS players, but can he get a good big man.

No communication, no movement, way to much complaining, no one is even trying to go after a rebound that's more than four feet away. Most of this is on the players, but the coaches need to find some way to wake them up. Oh and the missed layups is just baffling. I said it from the beginning, I hope we make the NIT. We need a big in the worse way.
