Mizzou calling for a black-out is downright laughable. I'm also pretty sure that if you're the second team to call for a black-out in one year it renders it meaningless. Especially if you want a black-out against the first team to call for a black-out. Wow, get it together Mizzou.

Anyone think that this could be some bulletin board material for baylor and their fans?? I know if we were being mocked for our lack of enthusiasm I would come out louder and roudier than ever.

I really hope it didn't come across like i want to have a similar qb situation to T-Tech. I'm just saying I can see this happening in the future.

It seems to me that the coaches have put ZT in a better position to succeed than they did with Joe. How many times did we run that beautiful screen pass in the middle of the field last year?? I don't recall seeing it once. Also, I don't recall seeing very many slant routes used last year compared to this year. I felt like we threw the ball deep way too often last year which definitley took away from the strength of this team. Maybe if we threw the short pass better if would have opened things up a little more. I guess it's possible that the slant routes were called and Joe just decided to throw to a linebacker instead, but like I said, I saw a lot more deep routes last season. Honestly, through 3 games this season there were times where I wished Joe could be playing QB. At least he put some points on the board right? But after the ISU game I can see why ZT is playing and Joe is gone.

It's true that noone probably expected our team to go undefeated this year. But what gets to me is that we had a tremendous chance to be undefeated right now and we aren't. It's not like we just got beat by a physically superior team, we beat ourselves. In a way i can almost accept a loss easier when we get blown out because i can just say "well they were just better than us". It tears me up to watch my team lose a game that we had a great chance of winning. I'm not implying that i want our team to roll over and take a beating rather than fight for 4 quarters, but as a fan it's easier to explain why we lost in a blow out as opposed to a game that comes down to the last play.

I get the feeling that it's not necessary to get the top high school qb's to run this offense. I seriously doubt that we'll ever see any true freshman, or even sophmores for that matter, running this offense effectively. I think the success of this offense relies on a QB with experience and knowledge of what the coaches want to get done. I think the way that Texas Tech brings in a senior QB just about every year is sort of what we can expect in the future. Does this make any sense to anyone or am i just thinking way to much into this?

I don't see him starting next year with Herian coming back. I think he can probably see some significant PT if he's as good as advertised. It appears that an important piece of the WCO that we're missing is a TE that can stretch the field. If we get him and have Herian coming back we'd add a whole new dimension to this team next year.

Yeah it would take pretty much an entire day of driving to get from Omaha to Waco. I only live a couple hours away so it's no big deal for me. As for bars... Waco is in Texas, and us Texans love our bars, so yes there will be plenty of places to get wasted before, during, or after the game.

If you think they Baylor fans are out of line with their predictions you'd feel like hanging yourself if you could read some of the crap i have to put up with in the Dallas Morning News. They actually have Baylor favored by 3 1/2.

We didn't officially beat tech, but at the same time we did "beat" tech if you know what i mean. The way the game went or how hard our guys played will never show up in stat sheets or in the rankings. I think that's unfortunate.

I'm not sold on Penn State in the least bit. I've always had a little bit of a grudge against the big ten and i truly don't see PSU as a top team. They beat OSU, i'll give them credit for that but to say that they are back, in my opinion, is ridiculous. ND is good and i love watching them play but i don't see them as a premiere team either. Alabama is the team i think could be the best out of them all but with the injury to that WR i don't know if they'll be as good as they could be. Pretty much the only teams i'm completely sold on this year are the top 3.

What up husker fans. I've been visiting this board for about a year now and i've finally decided to sign up and share some of my opinions. I always figured that if i signed up it would just be a waste of time since i didn't plan on posting very often but soon i realized i was checking in here just about every day and decided it was time to quit being lazy and sign the F*** up. I"m not here to cause any problems, just talk football with the rest of Husker Nation.

Apparently the national media only cares about wins and losses. It's almost as if battling from 21 down and taking the lead late in the 4th means nothing. Shouldn't this factor into the voting process? It's not like we were playing a cupcake 1-AA team. This was the 15th ranked team in the nation. Not to mention they blew us out last year and were on pace to do it again. I know we probably shouldn't move up in the rankings after a loss but the fact that we dropped and Tech moved up just doesn't seem right to me.

How many of you guys are going to the Baylor game??? I live relatively close to Waco so i'll be there. I'm not sure how many of you actually are planning on going but i do know there shoule be a large portion of the crownd wearing red.

It appears Kirk Herbstreit has poisoned their minds. Anyone else think his upset special this week will be Baylor over Nebraska?? Seems likely since he picks against us EVERY SINGLE WEEEK!!!

If our offense from last year hung half a hundred anything is possible this year right?? I don't believe they could have improved that much from last year. Our O has only gotten better and for some reason i picture Nunn returning a punt for a TD in this one. I see no reason to believe that this game will even be close. I"m going to predict a huge blow out pretty much because it makes me sick that some people think Baylor has a chance. We're still Nebraska and they're still Baylor. Huskers roll 55-3
