It’s a messed up season. So was football. Just win the tourney and stop whining. Regular season champ isn’t worth what it was. Also don’t lose to PSU and NW.

They finally get to play the Illini on Tuesday.

Michigan and Northwestern will play for the George Jewett trophy. George played for Michigan in 1890 and 1892 before going to Northwestern and playing there. He was the first black player in B1G history. Maybe he is implying that Michigan hoops isn’t tough enough to give it a try. I bet he doesn’t care if they don’t play 20 games and do not get a regular season title as a result. Eyes are on a bigger prize. I don’t think the Michigan women’s team is making up games either. I looked at the men’s schedules with the games they missed. They could have made up PSU and NW easily without back to back games. The other 3 teams were booked, and would have to be tacked on to the end of the regular season to avoid back to backs.

His elbow fired up Michigan. They were +19 after that play. Coach Howard intentionally gave Smith the play call out of the review. That was a nice call for the kid after talking that shot to the face...and a message to Wiscy.

Michigan will be hurting next year. Too many transfers and early departures, even from kids that may not get drafted. The QB situation may not be settled. They will be a very young with some 5th year guys that might finally get a start if they are not passed over for freshman. I would put that in the winnable column. New coaching staff on D too.

James Madison has 4, and a directional Michigan team has 3. Who would have thought.

Agreed. It's all predictions based on current rank. The Big Ten teams will eat each other alive and still get 10 teams in the tourney....and others in the NIT, if there is one.

Rumor has it that the transfer portal will soon be full. Maybe the real reason they could not play is that they all quit. I actually did hear that the 2nd QB quit after he got benched for the 3rd string guy. The starter was Dylan McCaffery who quit the day after the season was turned back on.....smart kid.

The answer is no. 19 cases. 50 kids out total per Big Ten rules....which are overboard. It’s worse this week than it was last week. My guess is the kids went out partying to drown their sorrows.
