  1. This could be interesting. I didn’t know there was an EIP or a CISA. This was during the Trump Presidency too. The question is who is monitoring the monitors that make the decisions on what to suppress. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/secret-reports-reveal-how-government-worked-censor-americans-prior-2020-election-jim-jordan-says Detailed in the House panel’s 103-page staff interim report, the emails and internal communications showed how the group, identified as the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), worked with DHS’ Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to alert, suppress and remove certain online speech in coordination with big tech companies.
  2. I should also say that if the BigTen follows their guidelines and allows Michigan their response time, then Michigan would probably not have anything to go to court with. I believe the court threat is punishment without due process. Edit: punishment for sure, but I think what actually happened is important. If what you say above is true would the punishment be different than if everyone knew? I don't know. Stealing signs isn't the illegal part. Scouting future opponents in the same season with staff or paid scouts is.
  3. They want to go to court because it will allow them to release everything they gave to the NCAA in public.
  4. https://www.instagram.com/p/CzVS6CYgj0k/ AP and SI now reporting the collusion....but, stealing signs is legal. So it boils down to how they did it. Not sure if sharing stolen signs is legal. It probably is.
  5. If true, we have a bunch of hypocritical coaches in the league, but I am still skeptical of the reporting on this topic. https://apnews.com/article/michigan-sign-stealing-452b6a83bb0d0a3707f633af72fe92ac "A former employee at a Big Ten football program said Monday it was his job to steal signs and he was given details from multiple league schools to compile a spreadsheet of play-calling signals used by Michigan last year. The employee said he recently shared the documents, which showed the Wolverines’ signs and corresponding plays — as well as screenshots of text-message exchanges with staffers at other Big Ten schools — with Michigan. He spoke with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he feared the disclosures could impact his coaching career. The spreadsheet was compiled with details from a handful of coaches and programs across the Big Ten, the person said. He also said gave the details to Michigan last week because he hoped it would help Jim Harbaugh’s embattled program and he believes Harbaugh and his coaches are being unfairly blamed for the actions of a rogue staffer. The alleged actions by conference schools potentially violate the Big Ten’s sportsmanship policy, which could lead to punishment by the commissioner’s office."
  6. That would be needed for Penn State, UofM or MSU. Sorry probably a poor joke.
  7. Well a punt went off a Michigan players back deep in their end and Purdue recovered. It set Purdue up for a field goal after they didn't gain any yardage. Another TD with 30 seconds left in the game against the second stringers. Lots of teams have done that....and the M QB missed some open receivers. Had his second worst game of the season. 24 of 37, 335 yds, no TDs no INTs.
  8. So it turns out, Michigan believes Purdue had received their signs for the championship game last year from Illinois....and Coach Walter's. Might just be blowing smoke, but wouldn't that be fun. Now stealing signs is perfectly legal, depending on how they did it but it would still be funny. Anyway, that is why the QB had a card.
  9. I heard this, too. And that Michigan has dirt on some other Big Ten school filming it's practices, so they erected a barrier. They plan to release that with other info. I guess if they go down they are going to take others with them. Below is snippet of President Ono's letter to the Big Ten Commish that basically said they should due process play out( Good luck with that) and if you don't see below... “The Big 10 has not informed us of any investigation of its own, as would be required under conference rules. And, to be clear, oral updates from NCAA enforcement staff do not and cannot constitute evidence, nor do we think the NCAA would ever intend for an oral update to be given that meaning or weight. “The best course of action, the one far more likely to ascertain the facts, is to await the results of the NCAA investigation. But if you refuse to let the NCAA investigative process play out, the Big 10 may not take any action against the University or its players or coaches without commencing its own investigation and offering us the opportunity to provide our position. That is not just required by our conference rules; it is a matter of basic fairness. “
  10. I think every coach will get asked this question now. Walter's answer... Purdue altered its signals before the game, and apparently that wasn’t a big deal. “I thought they handled it well,” Walters said. “There wasn’t any issues in terms of communication breakdowns.” Purdue quarterback Hudson Card echoed his coach and noted it is “pretty common” to change signals regularly. “It happens regardless of the situation,” he said. https://www.mlive.com/wolverines/2023/11/purdue-coach-on-his-michigan-sign-stealing-comments-i-called-a-spade-a-spade.html
  11. The Game will be played. FOX will not give up that audience. This might be the most watched game ever, given the circumstances. I don't think the Big10 can do anything to stop it without getting sued. If they suspend Harbaugh, will it be the same? The rumor is, the Big10 wanted to suspend Harbaugh for 2 games. There are still 2 left before The Game. The thing is...will a two game suspension this year appease the folks carrying the pitchforks? Not according to the tweets you posted. Also is Harbaugh not knowing truly as bad as him knowing and saying he didn't know? That second part seems worse to me.
  12. The way things work is to crucify first and ask questions later. No matter how this plays out I also want to know who hacked into the Michigan servers to get evidence. Not that it changes anything with the illegal scouting, I am just curious who it was that decided to break the law to gather the evidence. I also read that the Big10 commish asked Michigan to suspend Harbuagh for two games. Michigan asked the Big10 to investigate the situation first. I am not sure if it has always been this way, but tonight I saw Michigan's QB getting the plays off his armband although the audibles were signaled in.
  13. "A federal judge granted class certification to three different groups of college athletes Friday in an ongoing antitrust case against the NCAA, a decision that significantly increases the potential financial penalties the NCAA could face if it continues its losing streak in federal court." https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/38813620/athletes-granted-class-certification-antitrust-case-vs-ncaa How many athletes will jump in to get paid?
  14. At least the media corrected firing to resigned this time..and Stalions released a statement through his lawyer, which probably doesn't do much. Ironic that such an Uber fan that wrote a manifesto on how he was going to take over Michigan football did so much to ruin it.
  15. No worries. I didn't remember Kari until after you brought up dominion. The latest M chatter is this...don't you just love anonymous sources? https://www.on3.com/teams/michigan-wolverines/news/michigan-media-gathering-evidence-on-private-investigators-and-their-links-to-osu-more-on-jim-harbaugh-extension/ Several sources at Michigan and in the media tell TheWolverine.com they are gathering evidence on two private investigators they believe are behind the investigation into U-M’s alleged illegal on-site scouting. The same sources also believe the two are responsible for the media leaks that have kept the story in the news for weeks. Both allegedly have ties to Ohio State head coach Ryan Day’s family.
  16. Ahh. I am with you now. You brought the political thread over here. Arizona politics.
  17. Who is Kari Lake? There are people that say The Dbacks got screwed? Maybe the Rangers stole their signs. Is that still a thing in baseball?
  18. Huh. Former Buckeye. So Michigan fans are the only ones thinking about conspiracy theories.
  19. Edit: this is a good article that addresses the pitchforks and M fan conspiracy theories. https://www.si.com/college/michigan/football/michigan-wolverines-football-ncaa-investigation-connor-stalions-sign-stealing-jim-harbaugh-big-ten There are going to be people that come up with lots of videos, especially OSU folks since they are rumored to have known about the upcoming illegal scouting aligations before they hit the airwaves. So what happens if M kicks OSUs booty again this year? What is the excuse going to be? 'We forgot to change our signals'. Maybe this is why OSU lost. ...
  20. Looks like the DL hit the back first. Can you hear with a headset on?
  21. I think CMU said they were numbered. Maybe they have no idea who gets one. I wonder if someone would come forward if they sold it...maybe not because they would never get another one.
  22. How many of these fights did Israel start, going back to 1948 when the British mandate ended and the UN divided this land up? Seems like everytime someone picks a fight, Israel wins and takes more land as a result. They took the Golan Heights for security. They built walls to protect against suicide bombers. That actually worked. Then they had to build the Iron dome for the rockets. Now that got overwhelmed. There are Israeli Arabs with full rights in Israel. I suspect they could get along peacefully if everyone around them wasn't trying to annihilate them.
  23. It's not just Hamas that has this goal. Iran, Syria, Hezbola, to name a few, and my empoyee from Israel mentioned Qatar the other day which shocked me a bit. Not sure why they care.
  24. I think CMU is at least confirming the dude is not part of the staff or someone from their list. Seems like if it was Stalions, the NCAA would have already found this out from the interviews...assuming they did interviews, AND Stalions cooperated during the interview. Since it was an MSU home game, doesn't that mean MSU should have a list of who received passess? ...Unless the pass was forged ???
  25. Hey...that's what I said....the ultimate middle finger. I mean the NCAA isn't going to last much longer...at least for football. By the time they get around to a punishment, they may not here.
