hello, henry received a very recent offer from NU, & he set a visit for this weekend, so he is here now he has had an offer from utep since his sr yr began, & he visited there on 12/02. He also has offers from nm st, & has visits set to tt 01/21 & mo 01/14 also, he has a 35 in vert leap I believe that downing/gilmore are recruiting him p.s. he is NU's last chance at a tx prospect for this yr (since okung's name has been eliminated from rivals recruiting board menu, which I see as a tell-tale sign)

hello, there will be 3 visitors this wk: will henry 6'6" wr el paso, who has offers & visits set for NU 12/16, & mo 01/14 & tt 01/21 (took a visit to nm st, earlier) - yes, he has a NU offer mitchell, who is visiting NU this wk, but will not decide until his other visits have taken place (01/20 lsu - which is the school he will commit to, 01/27 mia, & tn 01/13) - also visited co 11/25, which was a beautiful day williams, who has a top 3 of in, mn, & NU - he will commit this wk - ia, il, mo, mi st are schools that offered & he never visited & are now low on his interest list (it will be over for him this wkend) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- maclin has mo & tt as his top 2 (it is over, for NU) - cosgrove was recruiting him campbell rated his visit to va as better than his visit to NU (so, it is over for NU for his commitment) wallace likes oh st & pa st - yet, craptree & I will not give in barrett has 2 of fsu's top recruiters on him in sexton & mchale (he & NU may survive the attack of fsu) thenarse's home visit w/ the NU coachs went very well, & he may commit yet (but then there are those troubles w/ qualification) deas has been in contact w/ blake quite frequently throughout the yr, & he may commit to NU (even w/ his on going qualification troubles, I have read that he is doing better now, since he abandoned all of his extra-curricular activities - one of those happen to be football)

hello, what does anyone think of NU's chances - if they ask paulo to gs, since utah & unlv (& I think fresno st) are the lone schools to offer him, & NU is the only school he is going to officially visit (az st was an unofficial visit & they have yet to offer), & he has been very high on NU from the start?

hello, I will take a stab based on what crabtree reported w/ a little of my own feelings: j brown & deas are the closest to being N, though deas has/will have qualification troubles, yet may sign w/ NU come feb wallace is going to shock everyone during army all-amer game, & will don a huskers hat walton will follow wallace mitchell & williams are visiting this weekend - so there are good chances there if barrett visits fsu, say goodbye - will NU pull his schollie? henry may not qualify - which may open up one schollie walker may commit to fl after his visit - which may open up a schollie p.s. davis is nc st's to lose, & mouton is all usc's (crabtree's predictions) 2nd p.s. bynes & thompson are not visiting this weekend, now (which is not a surprise to anyone) 3rd paulo may still visit, & NU may have warren visit, who is a s from butler cc (but, I think they have slim chances of visiting NU, & are last resorts for NU, also)

hello, I am not nameless, yet maybe a can write something of substance about okung - he wants to take all of his visits, (he has visited NU 11/11, & ok st 12/09 - last wk end) & will be visiting ou this weekend, & is planning a lsu visit 01/20, & he has said that he wants to not be rushed into a decision, & wants to be sure that his decision of what university to chose is the right decision for him he received a in home visit by the NU coachs during the last weekend of nov, & has been telephoned a couple of times recently by jensen who visited the NU campus w/ okung, & wants okung to come play w/ him at NU I do not think that NU will hold its offer for okung much longer - since williams will be coming to NU this weekend, & it may be williams last visit (but who knows?) p.s. dan hawkins has been hired (hc at boise st) by co, & he will close the borders to NU & any other school in recruiting co talent

hello nameless, you may be right about mitchell, & I may be wrong - since I thought that he was lsu's to lose & that NU would probably focus on other positions other than wr to fill their final slots, but: 1st - he reschedule w/ lsu at the last moment last weekend - which really shocked me 2nd - he is still high over the NU coachs visit to marreno, & he is supposed to visit NU this weekend, like you said (could it happen that he becomes the 3rd wr to verbal to NU? - it may be doubtful because he still may visit lsu after his NU visit, yet he has said that early playing time is key in his decision, plus he got a taste of what NU's offense can be like since he was a visitor of co's on 11/25 for the 3-30 spectacular p.s. williams has been awed by every school that he has seen, which have been mn & in, just wait until he gets a load of NU - I think that NU may see the big boy faint

hello, I may be wrong but I thought that issac was going to be a spring graduate from his juco, anyway, & that he would be entering NU in the fall w/ the hs grads - so, if he is a spring grad can he not pick up the classes needed to qualify, or are there just too many classes for him to make up, or am I wrong & he is a fall (dec/jan) grad? this kid was such a surprise in the 1st place, & the fact that there is not a lot of info available on him it is hard to know what is correct, or not.

hello, so w/ purify (basically) being N this should (basically) cancel the 3 wr's for this coming wk end (thompson, bynes, & mitchell - he was lsu bound regardless if he came or not), & maclin will most likely be deciding b/w mo & tt, now. p.s. NU has had quite a wk thus far w/ west, martin, young, nicks, haines, & palmer, & w/ purify & issac just having to solidify their verbals - NU will collect 8 verbals in about a wk, wow! 2nd p.s. look for wright to make a decision, soon also - maybe by this wk end 3rd p.s. when was the last time that NU did not have any tx kids verbal to them? (okung may be their last chance w/ a tx kid, but I do not think that NU is willing to take him at this point, plus he has 3 visits to take, yet)

hello, dave h is absolutely correct w/ his statement that NU is taking juco's to add depth, & NU should be 3 deep w/ quality kids at about every position next yr, & NU has to have that depth if they want to compete w/ the schedule that they have next yr - tx & usc (teams who are vying for this yrs natl championship) In NU's last 2 seasons they were depleted w/ injuries, overworked players at certain positions, & lack of quality players - which helped NU w/ their late season losses (next yr that will not happen - since, NU will have rotation, rotation, & rotation at every needed position - & hopefully NU gets another dt, cb, s & wr w/ their last 3 schollies to add to that depth) p.s. do not be surprised if 2 out of the 4 are jucos - purify & issac

hello, as for cb's ross, cox, & culbert who visited they will be waiting to make their decision until army aa for cox & ross, & late jan/early feb for culbert, & all 3 will be going somewhere other than NU yet, wright is near a decision, & may verbal sometime this wk or next - he has completed his visits to his top schools - or, az, az st, & NU (I believe he has ruled out his lsu visit) - he visited az & az st in back to back weekend trips - he is very interested in early playing time & mentioned that on his visit to NU w/ bradford after me/NU game (& I do not know if NU can give that to him - yet, who knows he loved his NU visit, & NU has not fade w/ him) wallace & davis are going to wait - wallace will verbal to his school of choice during army aa game, & tessell has been recruiting him very hard, & paid wallace a very resent home visit (right after pa st visit), & its b/w NU, oh st, & pa st, & I think that NU may be 3rd at this moment - davis just visit va, & has wv next wk & then nc st, & he like mouton who just visited usc, & completed his visits to his top 4 schools(UN, mi, & lsu) will be mulling over their decisions for sometime - probably until jan okung will also wait until he visits all of his top 5 (he has 3 to go, so it will not be until jan for him, & NU may have recently x-ed him off anyway) mitchell just visited lsu & will must likely be comparing NU next wk to his fav lsu when he visits - he wants early playing time, & that is the main reason why he is checking out other schools besides lsu - NU can give him early playing time, but lsu is home - yet, anything can happen purify is being recruited the hardest of any recruit, right now, & I think that NU is going to get him (which could tick some fans off, since he is another juco) - his next visit is to wa 01/13, which is forever from now, & will not happen anyway, because he will be N by then issac is N, walton - who knows when he will verbal (b/w pa st & NU, w/ a lean toward the former), wilson has his visit to fl next wk - & who knows which way he will go, yet he should make a committment one way or the other shortly after that, since he is a jan grad - plus, I would not be shocked if he verbals to fl, & royster & toston shun NU for putting them 2nd to wilson p.s. UN has depth at ot now w/ murtha, pasteur, j picou, patrick, slauson, jones, c thomas - if granted an additional yr, & haines & maybe nicks, (who knows about byford), & now they just have to prove that they have the talent to match the depth next yr - right? 2nd p.s I hope that some UN fans do not get too worked up over his lack of stars - which seems to be the trend of some fans this week

hello, I think that people are a little too concerned w/ the amount of stars that a prospect gets which is too bad, because I have heard only great things today about martin's prospects at UN from those that know him or have seen him play on the line at lin sw if you compare martin to two 3 star lineman - one of a yr ago, & the other is a prospect this yr - you can see there is not a lot of difference in their size: martin 6'4", 250 (present lbs - 232 was camp lbs), 4.8 ** hickman 6'4", 244, 5 *** okung 6'5", 250 *** the only real difference is the additional star, & people's attitudes in accepting a *** instead of a ** - then again, hickman & okung are from ca & tx, which can give a prospect a little more exposure, & interest draw because of the amount of schools, universities, football camps, newspapers, ect...you name it, in those states maybe people are upset w/ the verbal of martin, because they want immediate help on the oline, but that help is not going to come from this yrs hs ol recruits - it will be coming from last yrs rs olinemen (jones may play, but the rest of the hs ol's will rs - & martin may gs - so what is the big deal w/ martin verballing? - the same thing happened w/ hickman last yr & it did not seem to bother people this much - plus, if he gs then he would not count against this yrs class anyway) p.s. as for west & young UN needs s & they fill that need (& UN will probably get verbals from 2 more s - hopefully palmer & davis)

hello, martin excelled as a o & d lineman in hs, but he has does not have the body weight or muscle right now to compete, yet - yet he does have the speed, which maybe it is just me but I think that blake is looking at dt's w/ speed to make the angles on & bring down rb's & especially qb's, which cryer, suh, jensen, johnson, & ola have w/ 40 x's under 4.9 - martin fits that w/ a 4.8 - maybe, I am wrong but it seems to be a trend w/ the dt's, who have been recruited the last 2 yrs what say you?

hello, mccarthy will visit miami this weekend, which means that he will have officially visited all 5 of his top 5 schools - gt 11/25 who he gave a 9, UN & oh st who he gave 10's to, & in 11/04 - yet, he will visit oh st again as an unofficial probably during xmas break - when he visits fam in oh it is a mystery as to whom he will commit - since mia is closer to clearwater of course, & family can attend his home games; oh st is close to relatives, who could attend home games; UN has beck who is of course is from clearwater (so where ever he goes he will have a bond), & in & gt would give him earlier playing time p.s. eric could you send me the pict of mccarthy throwing up the bones at the ksu game, please - thanks hootin'

hello nameless, you are right about UN having a lot of depth at de, especially if muhammad is granted another yr, & w/ verbals from davis & smith - yet, according to the omaha herald (article on barrett's verbal) smith may develop into an ot. Plus next yr, drago & davis may play some dt - which would open up some space for the younger de's & possibly clayborn if he commits - which I hope happens what say you?
