I will respectfully disagree with the talent comments. If we actually had that elite level talent that so many believe we have, then we woud not have lost so many one score games in the last 5 years. Even if coaching is that horrible, you sometimes should just out talent teams without the X and O's. Texas outplayed Bama today, but the talent of Bama over came and won in the end. I have watched other teams not play well and win because they have difference makers on both sides of the ball. We don't have difference makers. We might have some good players, but not one of our players can go out and make a play for us to win the game. We haven't had that type of since Randy Gregory was on D or even Ameer on offense with Rex. Those were difference makers. Taylor Martinez was a difference maker in some ways. We won games with those kind of players. We had a decent D, and played ok offense. Talent does matter more than we are giving it credit. Its alot kike when Frost arrived and was telling us how far down this program was on talent and size. I think we are still that team yet. Pride is also a major factor.

I think if Trev starts now with identifying some guys either as FCS or some good Coordinators from FBS thats going to go a long ways in finding the next guy. We need that younger guy to get this program juiced once again. Like Bo did when he first got here.

Tired of all the blaming. We have now hired and fired so many coaches who we deemed as idiots, and some were, but I am wondering who is laughing more right now.............those guys or us. We blamed the Big 12 and Texas for us losing, we go to the Big 10 and everyone that matters kicks our a$$ all the time. We blame the Big 10 for poor scheduling and effing us over year after year. We suck in all male athletics right now. We are a nobody right now and have been for nearly two decades. I don't see us getting a great coach to come here. Frost is done. He isn't any better than Riley or Callahan were. I am wondering if thats all on him or if it isn't on the school at this point? Hired and fired alot of guys now(assuming that Frost is done after this season) and we keep getting the same result. Common denominator in this conversation is us and the school. Its time to let go of the good ol' days and hoping we win 11 games a season again. Thats clearly behind us. The whole country can see it, but we can't yet. Boy I hope I eat crow in a couple of years because of this thread, but I am not seeing this thing ever being a whole lot better. Might see someone get us to 6-6 or 7-5 maybe, but not going crazy and thinking we will ever go 9-10 wins again. Something is broken here. K-State wins most every year, Kansas is getting better, Iowa St is winning games each season, Iowa is always beating our a$$, Mizzou wins in the SEC, but we are in the worst division in college football and can't win 6 games a season! No matter who the coach is............Yes we lack a good coach. The common thing for all of these schools is a good coach. Why can't we find that guy? Why? I am afraid that this job is tarnished to a point that if you even are an up and comer, your not coming here at this point.

Our image nationally is way worse than we think. Fan base included. We are not a power on or off the field anymore. WE will have earn position in the peckng order again. No one is going to give us anything until we earn something. Throw all the money in the world at Urban or Stoops, they are not coming here right now. This job requires alot of work and time hitting the recruiting trails. Offer them alot of money, offer them what ever they want, but this job is tougher now than ever. Notre Dame losing today keeps that door open. They won't wait and see what happens. If they lose another game or two, Urban will go there next season. Stoops is not interested in coaching college football again. Better be happy if we could get Leipold, Klieman, or O'Brien to even listen to an offer. I think we are further away than ever. Truth be told. We have tried to get bigger names, and have failed. We have offered to big time guys, and been shunned. Why did we end up with Callahan? Pelini? Riley? Frost is the only guy who wanted this job and it may have cost him a career. He won games at UCF. He turned around a program. He did it with his guys coaching. Most of them were forced out of here by our leaders or fan base. We like to beat on him for hiring his buddies, but from what I am seeing his buddies were better coaches than what he replaced them with. Really, think about it. At least we won 4 games in one season with Frost's buddies. No one see's this job as a great one, even assistant coaching positions. We are not getting elite talent from any angle. Coaches or players.

Now if we don't run the damn ball, I might lose my complete saneness.

In all seriousness, I do enjoy watching this team play on offense. They run some good stuff and execute really well. Talking about Ga South.

If I were FOX next week, I would not televise that game with OU. Please don't.

Stupid. Just so stupid. We could have ran the ball, let our awful defense rest some, and scored and took the lead. Now we will go down by 10 and lose.

Well this next drive might decide the game. If we go down by 10, we are not winning this game. That was lousy play calling on that series. We could have ran the ball, scored and had the advantage for the first time tonight.

Helton is a fine coach with too many morals for a place like Southern California. He wasn't willing to sleep with the devil in order to bring in 5 stars like the rest of the winning coaches did or have done there. If they had so much lambo talent, why did Riley take half of OU and get Addison in the transfer portal? Helton's problem was he couldn't bring in lambo talent, but this guy can coach and does get the most out of his players. I would take that right now.

The great thing about Ga South is all 11 players on offense either block or do something for the next player. They just don't stand there and watch as someone is running or what ever. They play together. WHAT A CONCEPT!

Our defense is trash, but I really like GA Souths offense. They run some really good concepts that make you look foolish.

I will still reserve my praise for the backs until after next week when we play a real defense with a real defensive line. We will see if our backs can make those those guys miss. I think they have talent, but will not go that far in saying they are wonderful yet.

Can we all agree that our coaching is not good. Borderline criminal. Even worse for me is this program now has players with no pride. We lack so much effort and relentless effort. We give up to easy. We are faster and bigger than this team, yet they are making more effort plays. Pride, effort and want too. Thats all I want to see. Forget coaching, just make some plays. Yes, our coaches probably are not getting the right matchups, but every play in this game we have had players right there and we don't finish. We don't tackle. Is that all on the coaching staff? For sakes, I want to see some subs at least. I could live with a freshmen whiffing on a tackle.

Well when you play hard, you might injury yourself. Our players never go down because of extra effort plays! This is a very sad comment on my part, but its real. Good luck to that young man. We all appreciate players who ball out in Memorial Stadium.

We might score too soon. GA South will score before half won't they? They also get the ball first in the 2nd half. Wouldn't burn some clock and let your D rest some before scoring? Now if GA S scores before half and right after half, we can't win!

This is way more than coaching right now. This is completely effort. Sorry, usually don't like to call young men, but we are not playing hard. i think this coaching staff is done. The players act like they don't care right now. Frost has to be completely embarrassed. I would line all my freshment on Defense and just see what I have or at least give Clay Helton a chance to see what he could inherit next year.

Our DB's are the most obvious foulers in the game. Hold, push and chicken fight all the time. Could they make it anymore obvious? We might want to think about getting Clay Helton a contract, at halftime!

Our body lanuage really sums up this mess. Palmer moping after that over throw really speaks volumes for this team.

This is more than just coaching right now. This is effort and want too. We are bigger, faster and stronger. This game so far is more about our players not playing hard. Sorry, Chinander can't make the tackles. We have players in place and they just stand and watch. This team has quit or at least some of the defense has quit. No emotion.

Big 10 West might be the worst division in college football. Iowa has no offense, Wisky can't beat Wazzu, and Northwestern lost to Duke! WOW, if we can't win 6-7 games this season, we are maybe on pace to become a doormat team for the BIg 10.

Mizzou is an SEC team.

I listed something on another thread that I think needs some more traction. Did, in your peoples opinion, Frost hire Raiola just to get his QB nephew?
