The next hire could be the Hoke or the Saban. But that is why you make the change. When you already know what your product it is and it doesn't meet the standards of employment, then you seek a change and keep doing it until you get the desired results. Oklahoma did it and eventually got Stoops and we all know how great he has done at Oklahoma. Alabama did it and we know about their dynasty. Michigan tried it and got Hoke, but that was also a product of the AD that got fired wanting Hoke from the start and refusing to get Harbaugh that wanted the job but they school needed to fire the AD to fire Hoke so they can get John like they wanted a few years ago.

Yep, Hudspeth is a southerner. With McElwain having coached under Saban, having coached in the B1G, having coached QB's for so many years, and having turned Colorado State around is very appealing. We don't want hire a born, raised, and career coached southerner.

According to a poster on another website, there is a booster waiting to write a check to get this nightmare over with. I don't know if it would be frowned upon to say who the poster is so I don't want to do that unless people say it is ok to say who the poster is. Sounds like there is a boster that wants to do anything he can to get Bo out of town. The poster also said that McElwain's buyout would NOT prevent Nebraska from getting him.

On top of paying $7 mil to buy out Bo's. Tressel or Frost would be the best and most cost effective hire. SE is still young in his position, I doubt he is willing to throw around that kind of money. With the amount of money coming in in the coming years you can't sit back and be weak about making a move. McElwain is a top notch coach and he is there to get. So let's get him before someone else does and THEN we will not be able to get him.

He embrrasses recruiting a lot more than Bo does. Recruiting is not something that I would worry about. It also helps that he learned under Saban and also having coached in the B1G. Don't worry so much about the $7.5 million buyout. You gotta pay the dollars to win championships. So get it done.
