Guy told me they were a better program then us and I said very politely that there are 5 trophies that would beg to differ with him. Show me a trophy that any team has won this year for an accomplishment and I will show you a trophy that is worth its weight in sh#t. We are 4 - 0 and hopefully getting better each week (fingers crossed). That is all I care about. That and drinking.

He can believe what he wants in his heart... because in the end their results resembled something like the inner walls of a pit toilet at Branched Oak Lake after Labor Day Weekend. They were outmatched on a personnel level, with the game plan, execution and just about every other aspect of a football game you could think of. As a competitor I would not expect him to be scared... because they are taught not to be scared of anyone they face - after all they are all just humans playing the same game. Little puppies do the same thing to big dogs... and how many rat terriers do you see taking down pitbulls? Lots of barking... and they still get tossed around and bit.

I do not think that powerhouse is a great word to use for the scale... as they have Missouri, K-State, BYU, Washington and Iowa Close to Nebraska... maybe most recent success in their conference is a better scale title. I mean Duke is on the powerhouse side of this scale - you can't make this crap up.

Anybody know of any tailgate packages happening for the NW game in Evanston? I have people coming up and they want to possibly tailgate up there and I figured it would be worth my while to ask here and see whats what.

I live in Chicago and Fitz is right... it certainly is more interesting here. But I find homeless people to be interesting so I might be a little biased - I really like yelling back at them too. Nobody cares about NW here besides select alumni I have run into and most people don't pay attention to them at all... so maybe he is upset that in a town full of 'interesting' things (by whatever subjective standard he qualifies as 'interesting') that his team ranks near the bottom. As for the zoo trash being thrown into the equation here I will shine some deductive reasoning on it... the Lincoln Park Zoo is more popular than NW football by a long shot here... and Henry Doorly is more interesting than Lincoln Park Zoo and Husker Football conquers Henry Doorly - see where I’m going with this? Let’s not get convoluted here – Nebraska football is better than Northwestern football. End of story.
